Great post. Love those older kind of unsung Motown Artists. A lot of the older Motown made it to the Northern Soul circuit. Nice to get some positive feedback for a change.

Never a lover of Motown(or so I thought)but have gone down the thread and liked the majority of posts,some excellent tunes.
First heard The Small Faces cover this but its not a patch on the original.
I think this is Northern Soul but an ace tune nonetheless.

That’s me Fozzy.....34 years in Armed Forces taught me to never hold a grudge but argue and debate differences and acknowledge mutual likes.

Yeah, this thread acts as a nice escape from the Foster roasting on the Brexit thread. Nothing like a soothing bit of man-loving to get me ready for round 2.

Nah mate steering clear of that thread for now as it brings out the worst in people. I try and avoid personal insults and if you consider that I was insulting you personally I will apologise for that.

It's how I stop myself getting wound up. Earlier this week I spent a day pre emtively posting wind up statements and memes just because I was still irritated from the day before. If I aimed something at you and it bothered you, then I apologise as well. It wasn't personal.

They're pretty harmless really. There is a real world out there.

I suppose it could affect you mentally in certain circumstances.

Soul-on-Trent, we're synonymous with a Tamla B side or two. Talc Sport.
I love all of the Motown Chartbusters series, crammed full of amazing stuff. Richard Serling's Northern Show Sat 7pm syndicated to RStoke is brill, educational. For that special treat it's the Motown Story {vinyl} front to back. {Conned the old man into going halves on it.}
