Apologies if already posted but could not find the numbers for the Leicster or QPR games on the official site Have they given up on proper stats?
Found them eventually but disappointing if the club are not providing these
Decent attendance at 24,000 for QPR but will not be sustained unless Jones gets his act together

You can find attendances on the BBC website. Go to fixtures e.g. Stoke v QPR and click on to get the match report. Scroll down to Line-ups and right at the bottom is the attendance for the game i.e. 24,004 against QPR of which 22,704 were pretty unhappy

No way was there 24,000 last Satdee. If they published a true figure it would advertise the fact there is a drop in attendances. Something they don't want to face up to!.

Thousands (myself included) would have been on holiday....

I think attendance is just an accounting figure these days (how many people had a ticket that would allowed them to turn up should they wish) rather than a serious attempt to measure the number of people in the ground.

Season tickets and un used tickets are counted in the offical numbers, but you would think that a ticker counting heads through the gate is a number the club would know..... not that they would give a shit either way mind.

Once the tickets sold the clubs got your money and doesn’t really give a toss about the fans after that or at least that’s how the match day experience feels to me

People are talking about the attendance stats being measured by tickets sold rather than 'bums on seats' as if it was a new thing. We've been announcing the figures in this way since at least our first year in the Prem when we were getting capacity crowds, and probably for years before that.
It's not something the club have just started doing to cover the real figure up now crowds are lower. I'm fairly sure all, or the majority of clubs are doing exactly the same thing.

I don’t know of any clubs that don’t do it that way now.....

even so - a 30,000 seater visibly half empty, with a reported crowd of 24,000 is pretty embarrassing and again reflects,
where Stoke City are right now.

18,000 + a bit in at the kick off
less than 15,000 at the end
they've lost pretty much half the crowd
what is the problem with expressing a bit of a hard truth about that ?

two thirds full ?
with all due respect
must have been a lot of fans turned up in fancy dress
dressed as :- red plastic seats.

Yes two thirds would be 20000 24000 tickets sold with about a less than 4000 s/t holders on holiday looked about right When it's half full- 150000 - you can see the white lettering in the seats Get some new specs.

yes my eyesight is poor
but Im not delusional about how the club is doing NOR, the diminishing number of people crazy enough to actually watch such failing, mediocre, average, dirge.
15 wins in 85 now is it ?
wow ! thats really gonna pack em in eh ?
I think we can at least agree - thats got to change sometime
then the home ground might not look 'half empty'

And of course if it doesn't the crowds will tumble And if it reverses fans will come back, that's football.
