Just looking at Wimmer's face pisses me off.
58 million on Imbula, Wimmer and Sadio in the space of 18 months. I can't think of a club to have done worse business than that.

Saido by a Country mile as Wimmer hasn't made the front page of every tabloid for the multitude of sins Saido has Saido is the bigger wanker but that wasn't the question. Saido has talent, he fails to use it and is thick as pig shit but there is no doubting he has talent. At ÂŁ12m you could argue that he was a risk that may have paid off if a manager could connect with him. Wimmer is just a fucking awful footballer. Saido made us a laughing stock for signing him in the first place, despite threatening to go on strike at WBA, failing a drugs test and being done for drink driving. He then did pretty much the same thing with us. Saido' s only talent is how badly he's screwed his career up, literally. Wimmer may be a shite footballer, but he hasnt caused the embarrasment to the Club SB has.

these players are one of the major reasons why we got relegated, so many of our big signings after that 3rd Hughes season just never paid off. Terrible waste of money.

Also tucked away at the bottom of the article:
"Blythe Bridge born Ollie Shenton, now 21, could be on the move into non-league to try and seek some valuable competitive game time"
His career is fucked......

You'd think so.
Some, famously, come up from non-league and go up the pyramid. Not so sure about those who go down and then try to get back from whence they came though.
Ano in the long line of great white hopes from the Academy.

So what will Diouf and presumably Ngoy be up to now then?
Lurking around CW with the odd reserve appearance? Released? Back in the first team fold? Sitting on their arses for a living?

The Portugese transfer window is open until 22/09 so it's there or nowhere. I have a load of jobs a round the house/garden that need doing and I'm willing to take both 2 days a week......

I truly believe that the signing of Berahino was purely motivated by Hughes's hatred of Pulis (his lingering memory still pervading the club and generally their man to man dislike of each other). He saw it as a personal crusade to recruit him and show Pulis up by turning Berahino around. Clouded by that he decided to ignore Pulis's warnings and also even bigger red flags such as those noted above. How the board though, which should have been reviewing Hughes's decisions and taking a less impartial view on the facts let it get through I will never know- perhaps thought he brought in Arnie and look how well that initially went...

Don’t disagree with the SB point but I wouldn’t be so Wuxi to saddle Hughes as the point of Pulis rivalry

May as well attempt to integrate Diouf back in, we're stuck with him and he will never get a move till his contract runs out, so at least see.

Diouf will be with us to the end of his contract, nobody will pay those wages. With just 9 months left I wouldn’t be surprised if we don't cancel his contract by mutual agreement which will get him off the premises and as a free agent give him a better chance of finding a new club.

These wasters out on loan cannot be described as off loading though can it? We will no doubt still be picking up a chunk of their wage bill with the certainty they will be back end of May on full wages to start the cycle all over again. I agree with Serpico that these waste of 3.5 sq metres of skin a piece are one of the main reasons we are where we are.
