Thoughts?
Who knows who is where with today's signings, but I'd maybe go with:
Butland Edwards Batth Lindsay/Collins McClean/Clucas Cousins(/CCV?) Allen Etebo Powell/Duffy Gregory Vokes
Subs: Campbell, Verlinden, Ince

Good evening Nathan! he's not 11 stone wet through. I'd play ndiaye to see what (if anything) he is offering before we ship him out on loan. Powell at the tip, duffy on later

There is no way that Hogan is fit, I'd love him to be raring to go as a mobile frontman but I can promise you now he isnt anywhere close. I'm sure you will have seen the Johnson interview on TalkSport today regarding Berahino. N'Diaye is cut from a similar cloth. He doesnt give a fuck and should he nowhere near the squad.

Play Ndiaye at Wigan . Why not chuck Imbula Bauer and Wimmer in as well . These guys are getting away with more than the Hatton garden mob .

A starting xi without Allen will give us promotion.
Play him Satdee and we'll have no hope of 3 points.

How unfit is Hogan? Someone told me he'll fill the hole left by Charlie, and he'll soon be referred to as "Hulk".

Charlton are 5/2 with 365, that's just ridiculous. They are a progressive young team used to winning and we are shambles used to not winning.

Carter Vickers is a centre half. Why are people suggesting he should play defensive midfield?
I’d go Butland Smith Batth Lindsay McClean Woods Allen Etebo(Clucas if not available) Powell ( Ince if not) Gregory Hogan( Campbell if not fit)

Very sensible and probably quite close to the mark selections. Much will depend on if Powell is out, how fit and ready to go Hogan and Duffy are, and if Etebo (and Badou!??!?!) are even being considered for game time just yet given their ANC exertions.

If McClean is LWB for this,I'd be amazed if we kept a clean sheet,so we had better score at least 2.

I said after the qpr game that Jones would seek vindication for his selection, so he would pick the same 11 except Lindsay in for Collins.
Now that I've read interviews where he felt hard done by and thought we should have won a game that we allegedly dominated, I'm even more convinced so, except of course Afobe won't be playing.
I don't believe he will include any of the recent incomings, as they will have had 0,0000000001 chance of understanding a system that the regulars also don't understand. Etebo and Badou will also be out for the same reasons. I'm not aware whether they have started training yet.
Since it would appear that Jones has made a conscious choice to persevere with Campbell, why not play him from the start. He has momentum. But I expect he will pick Gregory as he will work his socks off.

They won against Blackburn with 38% possession away from home. Skimmed the Blackburn forum
“Charlton looked a limited but well organised side”
“Charlton's game management was also good seeing out the game comfortably and we didn't remotely look like scoring.” “Charlton parked the bus, and absolutely schooled us in shithousery. They pretty much spent 3mins in our half, the entire second half. “ “Every man behind the ball for Charlton, 5 across the back.”
Charlton forum They look confident and weirdly multiple comments about abusing McClean. “Stoke remind me of us coming down after years of being in the premiership, no matter what players we brought in the momentum was downwards.” “Nathan Jones has proved to be a damp squib manager in the potteries. Stoke got of to a bad start last week, the club seems to be in turmoil. All good for us” “I actually think we'll handle Stoke comfortably.” “Reading the Stoke forum it’s all doom and gloom and they are not expecting too much . I’m going for a 2-0 win .” They seem confident. Siege mentality please stoke.

As bad as last Saturday was...
As much as I don't really get some of his thinking...
I reckon a nice little messy 1-0 win to the Potters.
Gregory off the mark. 👍
