As mentioned on the other thread, where would he play?
Could only really play in the Powell/Ince/Verlinden role in the diamond, couldn't he?
It'd be a major surprise if there was anything in it

Is he any good though...when he plays? Just watched the footage. Play him up front with A N Other and Powell behind.

Is he any good though...when he plays? Now theres a question? He barely played for 2 years so it's hard to know. What I can tell you is that we (my family) know him and he is on an eye watering amount of money at Chelsea. Hes barely played a game in 2 years whilst on loan yet he'll never need to work again once his existing contract expires. He is the very definition of "way too much, way too soon. EDIT - he is a nice lad so don't take that comment to assume hes a bad egg. He was, once upon a time, rated at the same level as Hudson adoy (sp) and Loftus cheek, hence his whopping great contract

If we are looking for promotion this would be taking another risk given his injury record?

Eh? We really don't need him. Unless they fancy him playing deeper in one of the two midfielders in the diamond?

Hard to say if he's any good or not, he hasn't played much senior football, 20 games for Vitesse and Rotherham and 15 for Huddersfield in his whole life.
I suppose he comes with a 'Chelsea' logo but he hasn't played for them.
The best I can say is he looks like he might be a bit racy!

And where would that put Ince? Good question! Unless we're going to be playing non-diamond formations a lot?

Maybe wires crossed there.

Iβd be happy with a loan. He can play 10 or striker and on the wing if we switch to 442. Heβs got pace and a bit of skill, offers us something different if he can stay fit.

He was stolen by Chelsea for a pittance in compensation from WBAFC. He was an outstanding talent and had made his debut for Albion at 16 as a mobile, technically proficient, quick midfielder. Obviously, I'm biased but IMO he could have had a far better development staying at the Hawthorns to learn his trade.
However, money screams and he may finish his unfulfilled career with a healthy bank balance and the thought of, 'what if?'. If he can play as he did at WBA, any Championship team will have a real asset.
