I don't think anyone is saying he is to blame, but just imagine how you would feel if you were her husband and a foreign secretary came out with that line in a public statement. You would be entitled to hate him for the rest of your life, and he must be bewildered to think that a man capable of this in public office is now going to lead a country! Yes , it's awful that she seems to be used as a political football. Horrible for her husband, parents and children. "Iran" ought to be compassionate and let her go.....I wonder how many more are cruelly, vindictively or politically imprisoned by them. There can't be much worse than the torture of her situation. The Iranian woman who took off her veil in protest has disappeared

I was in the Gulf during and after the 1st Gulf War. My ship visited Al Jubail in Saudi for R&R and we were given access to the gymnasium which was in in British Compound which was also shared by local people. The British Ladies were given an hour a night exclusive to them as they were allowed to wear "western attire" but were strictly forbidden to wear this to and from the gym. To police this the morality police would be out in force in their hilarious attire of knee length dishdash and white woollen knee length stockings to cover their now bare legs. This was to allow them to be able to run after British women who flouted the cover up laws on their way home. They also carried a long stick to beat any woman who was caught.

Just add it to the rest of $#!t that been going on for the past 18yrs... I was escorting tankers through the straits of Hormuz in 1981, so a lot longer than 18 years Yes there was a tanker war in the 1980's when the west was backing Saddam's Iraq to the hilt against Iran. That went well.

The only collusion is the west's bloodlust for a new victim in the region. Trump has put his jackboots on and we will follow like the obedient puppies we are. Trump's hesitancy in going to war so far has been the sole bright point of his presidency. Correct, Momo could not be more wrong.

If only the daft twat hadnt invaded Kuwait, a mistake like Hitlers invading Russia

Isn't this why we built a leaky aircraft carrier?
Or would sending it into a danger zone be too risky.
