Does anyone have a stream link for the cricket?
I’m away from home and although the commentary is great I feel I’m missing out on some great test match cricket!

Hmmm... have we got a chance here out of nowhere?! 5 down now. Yes - it’s becoming interesting We might not win but we've definitely given them something to think about for the remainder of the series. Btw, when Jimmy is fit, who's getting dropped?! Looks like Woakes is carrying something as he's been under bowled so I imagine he'll be the one "rested"

Looks like Archer has warmed up.
He is bowling some vicious short stuff.

Archer is the man How many concussion subs have they got? It's ridiculous mate. A fooball match is 90 minutes long, to be able to introduce a fresh player on the 5th day of a test match is just bloody comical to me? And, because of cricket working the way it does, unless the replacement is an exact clone then ........ It's just bollocks?

Head’s batted really well along with young Marnus to secure a draw for them there, but we have the upwards momentum and have every chance of getting something in this series.

A draw.
A fantastic test.
And we have confidence going forward. Justified confidence.
We can win this series.
Because of one man - Jofra Archer.
He scares me just watching on tv. Being 22 yards away must be terrifying.

Could we have done anything different tactically to have won?

Could we have done anything different tactically to have won? Nearly decapitate Smith earlier?

Could we have done anything different tactically to have won? No, I don’t think so. The weather took too much time out of this game. But we have plenty to be positive about. Our misfiring engine room seems to have found some gears. We have a spinner we can rely on. And... We have Archer. Roll on Headingly.

There does seem to have been a distinct change of momentum doesn't there? The big lad is simply fearsome and that won't go away.

My only concern with Archer is that we’ve over bowled him slightly with the next test so close......

Aussie's will try and fight fire with fire at Headingley, guaranteed to see the return of Starc.

Aussie's will try and fight fire with fire at Headingley, guaranteed to see the return of Starc. Possible but not guaranteed. The problem with Starc, as far as the Aussies are concerned, is he concedes quite a lot of runs - something that becomes a cause for concern in a low scoring series which this has been and most likely continue to be particularly as England’s bowling now looks a whole lot better with both Archer and, let’s not forget, Leach who did an excellent job. So, they might replace Siddle with Starc, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they kept their bowling line up unchanged.

My only concern with Archer is that we’ve over bowled him slightly with the next test so close...... I share that concern. I don’t think Root used him very well. Your strike bowler should bowl short, sharp spells (very sharp in Archer’s case). He should bowl the fewest overs of the quicks in the team. I hope someone has a word in Root’s ear over the next few days and gives him some advice.

I totally understand the reasons why Starc hasn't been selected so far and why Siddle is in the team, for his control. However, you know as well I do that the Aussie's won't like what has happened and their ego's will definitely want to dish it back to us. I think Langer is quite a clever bloke, picking a side for the English conditions (which sounds simple but they haven't done that for years) but the temptation must be strong to bring him back.

The Aussies bringing back Starc will be pretty stupid on their part. They’re already all over our batsmen and they’ve done it by bowling a really consistent line and length. Roy won’t score any runs in the series while they keep bowling a 5th/6th stump line at him. Starc bowling his full and short stuff would suit Roy down to the ground and allow him into the series.
Rumours are that Cummins will be rested for one of the next two tests as they look to rotate their bowlers. He could well make way for Pattinson at Headingly with Old Trafford a lot more fast bowler friendly.

A neat stat from the Lord’s test. A first. That test was the first time that England scored the same number of runs, 258, in both innings.
