Getting bounced out really does annoy me. Probably because we very rarely produce bowlers that can dish it back out. Hopefully Archer changes that.

Being put in and getting 250+ means we have at least reached a reasonable score. (I was expecting worse. Must be all those years as a Stoke and England fan!)

Another frustrating batting innings. None of these look confident. Bairstow looks like he’s been caught wanking by his mum,

I can't believe that I was looking forward to a month or so of the football season alongside the Ashes. Only Stoke and England could cock that up quite so much.
On the subject of TMS from a couple of pages back, I suppose that Sky are trying to exploit the fact that they have visuals to try and become more technical and stats-y, which is the big trend at the moment. There's no point trying to match TMS's particularly unique style. That said, I thought Sky's World Cup coverage was uncharacteristically dreadful. Nasser was bumped up to the anchor position and just wittered the most inane drivel throughout. One of the best parts of the World Cup was when I managed to sync up the TMS coverage with Sky's TV coverage, and muted Sky.

Broad bowling very well here. Archer is a bit wide at the moment.

Australia’s day but I’ve seen enough there to suggest we can so some damage tomorrow, Archer was a bit wide but landed some Jaffas and they were in survival mode, he should get a few when they come out of their shell. Warner to Broad is a theme already and he’s not working it out. The big issue of the day will be what we can do against Steve Smith. The game likely rests on that.

We won’t know quite how bad (or possibly how good) our batting was until this time tomorrow. Must admit though, I’m not feeling much confidence in England just now. Our batting is fucking awful!

I thought Broad bowled superbly, Wokes was Woakes, possibly our best overall performer again. Jof was slightly disappointing for me but obviously a real talent and threat. A thankless task following the graveyard of our specialised batsmen though. Serious damage can be done early on tomorrow though. Bancroft doesn't know what day it is.

Archer's natural length is a bit too short for this wicket.

The way Smith leaves balls outside the off stump would drive me mad. Is it worth bowling a couple of yorkers at him, or has he dealt with them in the past?
Or do we just concentrate on getting the others out?

Double noise was the pad so can see why he gave that not out at first though it did look absolutely plum!

Or do we just concentrate on getting the others out? The worry is the accuracy when he's so good moving across his stumps, he'd likely just get them fine down leg but it's certainly a plan we've not tried. I'd like Leach having 1 or 2 at him before lunch myself.

71-4 now - Broad again !
Poor umpire decision though meaning we had to review it.
