It's been done to death on another thread. I don't know where you've got £15 from - it'd likely be a couple of quid. It's also subsiding another club for the tickets. I don't know what you're whinging about. Just because you don't benefit doesn't mean its not a good thing to do. Spot on. Like I said will always be moaners This is a brilliant scheme for which we should be grateful to the Coates family. On say 2000 away support and 10 coaches at £500 each, taking 500 fans, scrapping the scheme would allow for a subsidy of about £2.50, as eatokie86 said, rather than £15.00. An insignificant saving. Advantages of keeping the scheme:- Encourages higher away support Helps people who couldn’t afford to go, and those who wouldn’t go on their own. Helps families to afford to take youngsters and guarantees booze free travel, and safe access to stadium, also for older fans who want that. So excellent support for those who need it. Thank you Stoke City

Keep lining their pockets with failed accas and just maybe they'll offer FREE tickets one day...

Keep lining their pockets with failed accas and just maybe they'll offer FREE tickets one day... They don’t have to offer anything though, do they? How many chairmen are doing? I think this is a really good scheme.

A PR exercise to look good??????? i'm sure other clubs and fans care little what we do .Maybe it's a gesture to help fans who follow the club to save money. Because it's doesn't help you then it has to be some stunt, they can't do right for wrong with an attitudes like that. So why not help ALL fans that follow the club away instead of a minority? I've yet to speak to one Stoke supporter who makes his or her own way to an away game who feels aggrieved that they are not helped in some way by the club. Have there been any posts on here that suggest otherwise? Going to an away game these days costs quite a bit and you know what you're entering into if you decide to do it yourself, especially on a train. Chances are if you do decide to go down that route, then saving a little bit on a match ticket (and it will be a little bit) isn't going to affect you at all. For a good number, the away day isn't just about the match anyway. Official coach travel isn't for everybody, but good luck to those who choose to avail themselves of it and save a bit of money.

Thank you Stoke City I know so many older people that use it and people on their own. People who've been recently bereaved for example and don't have a lot but now have something to look forward to at the weekend and a safe way to travel. I just don't think people get how important that is to some people and how important that sense of community is.

If you see how many coaches leave from the ground and the affiliated supporter clubs, which are also paid for by the club you wouldn't say it was a minority. Well done Stoke.

When assessing this it would have helpful to know what proportion of our away support on average travels on these buses?
