Shit Stoke. You really are rotten to the core.
Making away games affordable in times of austerity, how do they sleep at night?

We are the luckiest fans in the league to have owners who live amongst us and know the financial constraints many have. Freezing St prices for over 10 years is unprecedented and now free travel. I hope the team deliver some success this season as it is richly deserved.

For me it’s a thumbs up 👍, some trips work for me , many don’t , I perhaps use them 40% of the time , the rest it’s train ( still my preferred mode) or car . .. oh for the days of young persons railcards and Persil tickets
Those wanting to give something back , especially if you use them regularly , or in need of a little extra help with your Stoke costs , consider volunteering as a courier, you’ll get £20 of team points each time , which can be used towards the cost of a season ticket , it’s not the closed shop some will no doubt post about , for several games especially those with a large number of coaches they struggle for volunteers .. they must do they used me for 3 trips last year

Great gesture again. Am sure someone will find fault but let's be honest if they got picked up and dropped off at home would still find an issue.
Season ticket prices/free travel/ground improvements....we do ok.

Season ticket prices/free travel/ground improvements....we do ok. But the seats don't come with free extra support pillow.. joke club stoke, joke club! They're out to piss us all off and drive us away! YET AGAIN well done to the board and SCFC... feel good factor is coming back!

It wouldn't be very good PR though if you did, whilst you've got several footballers (Imbula,Wimmer,Badou) being paid the best part of 100K a week for doing sod all, you'd scrap the free buses for the fans that'll save you about 100K per year and cost the fans aroud 250K a year.

This club has done everything it could to keep things affordable in an economically depressed area. The much maligned Mr Scholes and the ownership should be roundly applauded for this.

Oh I totally agree. And agreed on the cost, in the grand scheme of things it's not a lot especially with how rich our owners are. But if they are desperate then it's an easy thing to cut. Especially as there's a growing number of fans against with the idea (rightly or wrongly).

Nothing but a token gesture that looks good to the outside world.
It serves about 10% of our fan base once you’ve taken in to consideration Stoke fans that live around the UK and the fans that actually like to enjoy an away day.
The fans would be better served if they subsidised away tickets.

There are lots of families and older people who use those buses, and people that don't have anyone to go with, who otherwise couldn't afford it or wouldn't go. It's an option for people less fortunate than others - whether financially or mobility-wise. And the supporters council have no doubt worked hard to ensure this is kept. Don't be a pillock.

Fantastic gesture again and just can’t see how anyone can moan. Well done Stoke....they don’t have to do it!
Just hope we are challenging next year and it would be fully utilised!

I don't use the buses but I'd rather they help people that otherwise wouldn't be able to afford travel. Saying they've only done it because of how it looks outside world was ridiculous though.

The thing is though, if stoke subsidised every away ticket so that it cost £15. The people who may not be able to afford normally can now afford to pay for the bus which is usually £10-15 with the money they’ve saved on the subsidised ticket which are usually around £30. Whilst at the same time, fans that choose not to use the official coaches also get a bit of a saving as well. It still works out the same cost for those that choose to use the coaches and everyone else gets a slice too. It’s really not that difficult to understand.

I don't know where you've got £15 from - it'd likely be a couple of quid. It's also subsiding another club for the tickets. I don't know what you're whinging about. Just because you don't benefit doesn't mean its not a good thing to do.

A PR exercise to look good??????? i'm sure other clubs and fans care little what we do .Maybe it's a gesture to help fans who follow the club to save money. Because it's doesn't help you then it has to be some stunt, they can't do right for wrong with an attitudes like that.

Not to mention they’ve now added a stealth tax by charging us £2 to COLLECT tickets from the ticket office 😂
