I did put a wink at the end of credentials As you're well versed with the Jewish sense of humour my friend spent a month in Israel visiting her son who was working there. On her return I asked her how she'd found Israel and the reply was something like.... "It was a little unnerving, everyone seemed a little bit, well slightly mad....I've never felt more at home though" This is a perfect example of the "drip drip effect" by the likes of the Jewish Chronicle, and it doesn't matter whether the right wing rag in question is Jewish or not, or whether the readers are Jewish or not people fall for this disingenuous shit time after time after time..... It's pure McCarthyism. And a lot of it is based not on Labour or Corbyn's record on antisemitism. I fear that some Jewish people will look back in a few years time and think they maybe got things wrong...... I've no idea what your point is in both articles that man is saying that Corbyn is not an anti Semite but saying the party have got some issues. Isn't he a Labour man these days?

I fucking hate things like this. This isn't a 'haha I win' scenario. It isn't a game. Apart from the fact Corbyn isn't a marxist, I absolutely despise this weird tendency to feel like you've won something if a political party is doing well. Both sides do it but the recent tend towards 'owning the libs' is a massive sack of shit and it should get straight in the bin. Well it's not looking anything like New Labour or even old Labour so what is it then? How do the top team define themselves? New new labour But it's democratic socialism.

The justification of blowing up innocent civilians and kids. Jeremy Corbyn blamed one of the IRA’s most notorious bombings on Britain’s “occupation” of Northern Ireland, The Sunday Telegraph can reveal. The Labour leader signed a parliamentary motion just weeks after the 1987 Enniskillen Poppy Day massacre pointing the finger at the UK government. The bomb, which ripped through a crowd attending a Remembrance Sunday ceremony, killed 11 people and left another 68 injured. The early day motion expressed “horror” at the attack but said violence in Northern Ireland “stems primarily from the long-standing British occupation”. Diane Abbott, the Labour shadow home secretary, put her name to the statement as well according to parliamentary records. Just for the record, the horrific Remembrance Day bomb, planted by the (PIRA)East Tyrone Brigade (explosives provided by Libya) also has another dark side to it. It is alleged that security services (MI5/FRU) had priorknowledge of this bomb but did nothing; 1) To protect agents 2) For tactical purposes (the outrage it would cause would massively damage PIRA in Ireland & The USA) Some very strange things happened in Ireland mate. And that's all I'll say.

Whatever your political leanings, anyone who thinks Labour's manifesto is "Marxism" is at best naive and at worst a fucking idiot in fairness...... It's a perfectly reasonable question to a perfectly reasonable poster. I never suggested he was a Marxist I asked for a comment on what sort of leadership the Labour party is now under from a supporter. Labour's manifesto as with any other manifesto is not worth the paper it's written on. I never suggested you did, but others have which shows either ignorance or stupidity.......

Just for clarity and I can't be arsed to look up any information on the subject am I correct in remembering that both Corbyn and particularly McDonnell are fans of Marx? Is this where the confusion about them being Marxists comes from? I suppose in a similar way I'm a huge fan of Marx and Engels by Belle and Sebastian but this hasn't made me into a Marxist

I’m a politics geek and whether you agree with his philosophies or not he certainly knew how to write about the world...... In all his researches into the iniquities of British capitalism, he came across many instances of low-paid workers but he never succeeded in unearthing one who was paid literally no wages at all. Yet such a worker did exist, in his own household ... This was Helen Demuth [the life-long family maid]. She got her keep but was paid nothing ... She was a ferociously hard worker, not only cleaning and scrubbing, but managing the family budget ... Marx never paid her a penny ... In 1849-50 ... [Helen] became Marx’s mistress and conceived a child ... Marx refused to acknowledge his responsibility, then or ever, and flatly denied the rumors that he was the father… [The son] was put out to be fostered by a working-class family called Lewis but allowed to visit the Marx household [to see his mother]. He was, however, forbidden to use the front door and obliged to see his mother only in the kitchen. Marx was terrified that [the boy’s] paternity would be discovered and that this would do him fatal damage as a revolutionary leader and seer ... [Marx] persuaded Engels to acknowledge [the boy] privately, as a cover story for family consumption. But Engels ... was not willing to take the secret to the grave. Engels died, of cancer of the throat, on 5 August 1895; unable to speak but unwilling that Eleanor [one of Marx’s daughters] should continue to think her father unsullied, he wrote on a slate: ‘Freddy [the boy’s name] is Marx’s son ... I have no issue with that, I’ve read Das Kapital and a couple of his other books and I do find them fascinating. Some of his views on capitalism, but also colonialism, even the Irish Republican question were way ahead of his time. I think McDonnell plays on the whole Marxism thing, the last couple of interviews I’ve seen he’s been joking about it. I would describe them as either Bennite Socialists or democratic socialists.....
