Jazz. Soul. Pop. Rock. AOR. Magic! I was driving this afternoon and randomly decided to bung The Dan on. Great decision. What a band. The harmonies, the musicianship. Any other fans here? I'll get things started with this bad boy. Love that ghostly guitar line running throughout. Just sublime ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/KYqg3pYeaerc5lD_P7BR.gif)

Thanks very much for this thread guys ! I was a big fan of Steely Dan back in the day but haven't listened to any of their stuff in quite a few years. Listening to these tracks on here has made me listen to some of their CD's again - I think my original vinyl got lost in a house move - they really were a brilliant band ! Keep the videos coming ! ![(thumbsup)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/q4Mqf5MqRwT9PY8UitYa.gif)

It's Dirty Work, but someone's got to do it.

For those sad days when you realise that The Dan simply didn't record quite enough albums ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/kwfoKwtHI0jglJZ4qZf6.gif) Highlight track for me, from a great solo effort from Don Fagen.

A fantastic album. I got it on cassette from woolies in stoke and wore it out. Greenflower street is a great track. That bass line is mint

Loved them for over 40 years. Lucky enough to see them at the Santa Barbara Bowl a few years ago and again in Manchester in February just gone. Excellent both times, Fagen knows where to find brilliant musicians.

Now retrospectively labelled as 'yacht rock'. Can't think of much better than lying on a yacht under a clear blue sky listening to Brooklyn Owes the Charmer Under Me to be fair ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/kwfoKwtHI0jglJZ4qZf6.gif)

Went to see Nearly Dan in Bristol the other week! An evening of nostalgia, and they're from Stoke. Keep an eye out for them.
Went to see them on their first UK tour in 1974 in Brum and the gig was cancelled. As the years went by the memory became more painful as their star ascended. Eventually got to see them at the O2, back in 2017, weeks after Becker's passing. It felt like closure!!!!!
