This. The thing I find really annoying is that it’s always made into a racist issue when I think the majority of people have an issue with her because she’s not particularly nice and is clearly in it for the buck. The Amazon deal isn’t a good look. Yes the twitter and newspaper storm caused by this And literally nothing on this is entirely normal and there is absolutely nothing else at play at all I’m not sure what Jean Dingle says is particularly relevant I’d rather make my own mind up. Nothing wrong with holding hands whoever you are.

Nothing wrong with holding hands whoever you are. It wasn't just 'Jean Dingle' though was it? It was tens of thousands of people on twitter, including right wing print journalists and GB News nut job types. Why do you think it is that one couple holding hands = bad and another couple holding hands = not a problem. What's the difference between the two do you think?

I think they're the same as Edward's. Just for turning up at things where Brian May plays that spooky version of the National Anthem on his guitar.

I don’t disagree with you in that the photos shouldn’t be commented on differently as they’re depicting 2 loving couples. I think though that unfortunately due to the Amazon deal and other money making schemes they’ve put a lot of peoples backs up as a couple. Certainly in the case of the public they were very pro Megan when she met and married Harry and there’s not been animosity from the start. I’m sure there are some racists that have an issue with her because of her colour but I think with the majority it’s because of the couples general conduct.

Nothing wrong with holding hands whoever you are. The difference is Princess Anne’s daughter is not titled and was not part of the marching party they were there quite rightly as family in the congregation. Prince Harry and his wife are more high profile previous behaviour leads them to scrutiny. If they want to renounce titles and move away fair enough. Keep your mouths shut and stop trying to cash in on it. Absolutely nothing to do with her skin colour

My wife and I hold hands all the time. People think it's cute, truth is I'm a trip hazard and she's stopping me falling. =)
I remember when we were young and in love the fashion then was that the girls linked their men. It seemed important to show you were a couple and off the market.
William and Kate seem like a couple at ease with each other whereas Megan is always looking for a photo opportunity and Harry is just a prop for her career. I expect it to last until she finds someone with more public exposure and a wallet to pay for it of course. I could see her with Elon Musk or Donald Trump or anyone with high public exposure.

When someone is constantly under attack thdre's always a bit of me that wants to defend them (though not Peter Sutcliffe or Putin obvs) so I hope she pisses monarchists off by sticking with him for life and for love. Afterall Wallace Simpson was a cow and a socialite and Edward was a nazi - but I'm pretty sure they loved each other. Meghan gets a bad rap when compared to Kate but I've always thought the Middletons to be nothing less than pathological social climbers - she just plays her part better. 25 years ago another whinging Royal outcast - Diana - (though an extremely photogenic 'English Rose' with a colourful social life) made her best and definitive career move by getting herself killed in dramatic (and some say mysterious) circumstances. Popular opinion swung against the Royals. Charles (now the King) on accompanying his estranged wife's body on it's journey from Paris was a dim, adulterous hypocrite. Camilla was an ugly home wrecker, and the Queen was cold hearted, disrespectful and out of touch with her 'subjects' at whom the Daily Express's ( of all publications) headlines screamed 'SHOW US YOU CARE'. However I would imagine that most of those who will spend Monday crying into their toy Paddingtons over a dead billionaire they've never met will reflect little on that. It's the drama of the current episode tbey'll be caught up in. The monarchy is an expensive costume drama that needs it 's pantomime villains to keep the plot boiling. So who better than an exotic sultry diva with the almost improbable name of Meghan Markle who steals the heart of the popular prince. Season 1000 now available on BBC, ITV and all good (?) media outlets.
