I find it a bit worrying that of all the signings he gets a 29 photo gallery on the official site. Back up my arse!!
So you're basing how many games he'll get on the amount of photos there are on the website? Genius
Out of interest, when did the PR and IT teams start picking the First XI exactly?

Fuck me you’d think we’d made a public statement here saying that our whole season is going to be built around Ward. He won’t play every game (nor will our first choice): He won’t expect to play every game. He is relatively low cost and low risk. If he plays any part in helping us to recover and improve, on or off the pitch, then it’s a plus. You don't actually know for sure that he won't be our first choice left back, do you?

They might as well done, the managers seem to have made a pigs ear of it recently.

I’m confident he won’t be. Jones’ comments on him suggest so... “But I feel we need to add certain things to the changing room and the environment and Stephen brings those” “he will provide vital competition and good strength in that area” With the squad only reporting back for pre season training this week, and the new season still over a month away, I’d rather just wait and see than knee-jerk react and whine like a fanny.

Being from Dublin Ive watched Ward for many years even though he played for the Vale of Dublin. He is a player who has made the most of limited ability but he is certainly more than capable of giving us value for money for a year in the Championship. I remember him at Bohemians, I think we tried to sign him then.

Based on your in depth prior knowledge of the player's we've signed is that?
Or more likely based on you copying the opinions of a few others on here, so you jump onboard with them and judge the side 6 weeks before a ball has even been kicked.
Showing your intelligence once again here carpy

WTF mick I was talking about last season and the season before, though tbh I am not sure I will be putting my house on us getting out of the bottom half next season, where are thinking we will in the League come May 2020 ?

I'm not knee jerking or whining like a fanny. What I'm saying is that you're prepared to make a statement with only your gut instinct to back it up. At the moment we have Indi and Tymon on the books who could also conceivably offer competition to Ward if they remain. They very well may be on their way and we very well may be bringing in a first choice left back as yes, it is early days and I really hope that's the case. But...you don't really know do you? You're as right as those you say are knee jerking and whining so display some balance and reasoning in your arguments.

I remember him playing as a winger at Oriel Park on a day that makes our place look tropical. The wind was blowing goal kicks towards Drogheda.

Is there a more limited left back in english football than Stephen Ward?

Is there a more limited left back in english football than Stephen Ward? there's probably many, hence why Ward has played so many premier league games. Personally I think it's a low risk signing, would have preferred Dasilva myself but prepared to give Ward the benefit of the doubt Worryingly though the times I remember Ward the most were when Jermaine Pennant tore him a new one twice, firstly at the Molineaux when we came from a goal down then again when he took the piss in a 3-0 romp
