Three goals in 10 starts isn't even that bad That is about slightly better than Berahino, I guess...

That £60m + could put together a decent Championship side. If we don't get Back into the Premiership in the next 2 seasons,we could be looking at just £6m to put a team together. What a fucking come down from beating the Bin Dippers 6-1 just a few seasons ago. Some fuckers at the club allowed these signings that cost the club £60m+. If the process that Scholes stated happens had been followed maybe we wouldn't have bought these wasters into the club, something doesn't add up here.

I'm not sure he is detrimental to what he hopes to achieve? His Luton defenders weren't exactly Beckenbauer clones? Ours don't have to be that at all. It would just be constructive if he wére to give up on his penchant for passing, if you can even call it passing, the ball straight to the opponent every time he has the ball at his feet. Presumably Jones doesn't want his team to be spending all the time defending in our last third, but that's what's the end result of Batth's limited ability. So I'm hoping that whoever we sign at centreback is someone who can do better. I think you’re vastly overegging things to be honest.

Ps to keep your minds active, just mentally try to run through a list of all the players at the club presently including last seasons new signings, even before you add the new incoming ones and then, work out how much dross we have on the books, unlikely to appear or make any future contribution ..If you actually do that, the names and numbers and probable wages both of people and, what we paid for them are truly frightening. Nathan will be challenged more by what hes got to get rid of than plainly, who he wants to actually bring in ..To me its like he is being asked to swim the channel with a rucksack of pig iron strapped to his back and I cannot for the life of me see a way forward through the absolute mess we are in.

I mean for example, geoff camerons just come back ..good for one game in six and should be nowhere near an agile youn g hungry EFL squad looking to be promoted. SO just wtf are we gonna do with him? (Whose gonna even want him ? laps around the clayton wood outer fence on his own or, with imbulla ndaie and berahino is the only thing I can think of) and, whose gonna want him ????

the manager should have known who was here before signing on the dotted line. if not then he was naive. we have known for the last 2 years who is not good enough or wanted but nobody wants our dross on large wages, so if you cant shift them then either pay them off or you got to do something with them. the problem is ever transfer window so far we have added more dross to the pile.

I am not, others have stated this too when the subject's been up, and you'll see for yourself that he'll be the weak link in our efforts going forward next season, unless Jones sees good sense and replaces him with a sharper mind and better feet.

When you are continually spending £millions on players who turn out to be rubbish, it not enough just to sack 1 person.
You need to look at who was appointing the now sacked person and who else was involved in the signing.
Hughes and Rowett didn't just say 'I want Saido, Benik etc' get the cheque book out and sign it themselves. Or if they did that is gross oversight on someone's part anyway.

Transfers of any type or value are an inherent risk. But there are ways to mitigate said risk by recruiting smartly and ensuring that the players you sign can fit into a tactical system. The aforementioned players were signed for first Hughes, who had no coherent tactical system with which to deploy them irrespective of their individual failings. With Rowett it was a case of him moving away from his usual limited tactics to attempt something more expansive only to end up somewhere in between. It's essential that whoever Jones signs fits his desired system. Not sign a player and then fit him to what you can. Agree, if these are the players were just out of his reach at luton then they were obviously identified as players to improve their team/system. Although the packaging is not overly inspiring for some so far, they may play a vital part to this system as a group. We've been saying we want players who see stoke as a step up for a while now (or at least I have), so i cant complain we are actually doing that atm.
