The difference is League 1 players want to come and play for the club. My next door neighbour is 22 stone, he runs rings round 5 year old in the park, what's more he wants to come and play play for Stoke, shall we sign him up? Yeah because that's the point that is being made isn't it? Besides, we don't need Jon Parkin back.

I'd rather keep him. Make him run up and down the canal until he decides he wants to play. I'd rather that than sign another league 1 player That's daft! Players like him are what is wrong our club. We need to get rid as soon as possible. Give me a player with a little less ability and hugely better attitude that really wants to wear the shirt and play for Stoke giving his all every week over players like that every day of the week!

The difference is League 1 players want to come and play for the club. I would have preferred we look further afield for players who want to play for us. Proven quality is what normally gets you out of this league. We would get better value abroad than paying several million for a league 1 player. I am fully behind the manager, and I hope these signings work out. But I wasn't expecting stoke to give up this summer. Cousins for instance, what if he struggles like he has the last 3 years? The midfield would still be a huge issue. We are hoping. Hoping Jones can turn these players around, and in some instances elevate the performances of others. Last season showed that's not possible with this bunch I would imagine that we will see another DM arrive. Remember Jones wants two players for every position.

What is it about Stoke fans ( not you personally) who consistently want to virtually give away all our players who are of value What with this we’ve also got folk willing to sell Butland for £12m I think it’s the grim reality of the (lack of) ability of those who will be conducting the negotiations, wez. If Stoke had Harry Maguire he’d be wearing a red Jersey now with Tony Scholes proclaiming it is a sign of how far we’ve come getting 20m for the lad! But they could still have the opinion of what players are really worth though mate We had one fucking wag on here a few months ago valuing Joe Allen at £7m !!!

Not a chance we'll get anywhere near that and I think 10mil is pushing it too, its clear he wants to leave and we're desperate to have him off the wage bill, it all points to a cut price deal for Everton unfortunately. What is it about Stoke fans ( not you personally) who consistently want to virtually give away all our players who are of value What with this we’ve also got folk willing to sell Butland for £12m Butland is a different situation until he starts complaining, but Ndiaye has said over and over again that he wants gone and isn't willing to play for us and there isn't a long line of clubs after him, if he was being a model pro and giving lip service in the press about working hard etc then I'd be with you on value or at least closer but the way its gone everybody and their mother knows we don't have much of a leg to stand on in terms of negotiating.

If he is actually refusing to play, then why not simply stop his wages as he’s basically going on strike. Without his £50k a week or whatever, he’d soon come round I reckon?

Come on Everton follow up your interest in him with a bid. So we can fuck this bad penny off.

Not sure he’s any kind of M. I thought he looked the real deal as a holding midfielder when he first came and I think Jones would have him in the role other than the fact he stresses 'athlete' for that key position. Woods isn't, in the same way O'connor wasn't. For me they are very similar although O'connor had gas to burn.

If true (and it probably isn't), the fact that it's an OPTION to buy, not an Afobe-esque obligation, doesn't seem ideal. There's no way they will actually buy him next summer.

We really like subsidising Turkish clubs if true. He has won the title there, what is there to learn, make them buy or no deal.
