Really awesome one that is, not enough Lovecraftian stuff out really but it's the hardest style of horror to do justice I think

My username comes from a nightclub not this film but I loved it all the same. John Carpenter meats Lovecraft

Ladyworld follows a group of girls that get stuck in a house during a slumber party due to an apocalyptic event, stress and fear cause them to degenerate into savagery.

An old low budget Alien rip off that has a big cult following. It's incredibly gory and good fx for what it cost

Hellseeker was a load of shite, still not got round to Hereditary yet. Honestly, all of the Hellraisers after 3 (2 if you can't handle Freddy Kreuger Pinhead from 3) have been shit I am just a huge fan of the universe so I've collected all but 1 of the 'Doug Bradley' era, the newest one Judgement is meant to be a decent one but I just can't bring myself to watch it as Doug the original Pinhead isn't in them anymore. They do have a big budget remake in script stage I believe though so I will probably try that one! You need to get on Hereditary, next month the director's second movie Midsommar is out! Got round to Hereditary mate, and I was a bit underwhelmed to be honest. Some surreal bits at the end but not scary. If I had to compare the mood of the film to anything, I'd say it had a Donnie Darko vibe.

I didn't think it was scary I just liked the atmosphere and vibe as well as the slow build it produces, but I also do love Donnie so maybe that's a factor. I've grown out of the scary horror as nothing is scary anymore is it really?

Watched Starfish tonight, wouldn't call it a horror but it definitely is a strange one. Has ties with Lovecraft for sure, it's a story of dealing with grief wrapped up with horror overtones.

B!%dy’e!!, Julieann has some serious problems. Think she needs to lay off the horror for a while & sort herself out...

Looking forward to the latest entry in the 'Salmon Fishing in the Yemen' universe...
Salmon Fishing in the Yemen 2: Revenge of the Salmon:
Following on from the events in the first film (no idea what they are), the survivors return to their original lives, unaware that all the salmon killed in the original have been resurrected by a necromancer (Craig Fairbrass)
Nudity, violence and sexual swear words throughout

Child's Play remake is actually getting good reviews from those who I trust review wise. Midsommar getting decent reviews as well, a bit divisive from what I have seen but Hereditary is quite divisive as well. I'll leave you with this stunner.

Not bad actually, a few nods to the original also to Star wars. A few comedy deaths and lots of blood a solid 7.5/10 from me.

Just watched The Hills Have Eyes remake. A film they should probably have left alone but not awful. Has the Captain from Monk in it so gets a pass. Original a classic of the era, this was ok

Anyone seen Brightburn yet? Thinking of seeing it this week. Out in HD on the internet. Will give it a watch today probably. Been out in the US since early May, for the most part apparently is a fun movie that has a bit of a dark edge to it

Watched a good one tonight called Head Count. A version of The Thing but with teens, nowhere near the quality of The Thing but kept me interested.
