So after our less than successful return to the Championship, what was everyone's favourite and least favourite grounds to visit?
Favourite - Nottingham Forest. Great city to visit, good old school ground and not too far to travel.
Worst - QPR. Apart from being in a decent city it's probably the worst ground I've visited. Tiny concourses and their fans are just genuinely awful.

Bramall Lane was my favourite. Shame it's not on our list for next year for a return visit. Enjoyed Sheff Weds too though so will definitely head there again.
Most disappointing was Derby for me. Didn't like Hull much either. Most entertaining thing that day was seeing one of our idiots jump down in to the concourse.

QPR all day long worst. * Either of the Sheffield clubs really, and a good day out to boot.
* Shortly to be superseded by Luton.

Luton is the unprecedented title holder for the worst.
What a complete toilet.

Reading is shockingly bad. The most bland, middle-class city and club you can think of.

Sheff Weds, good boozers all around the old Hillsborough ground. Biggest shit tip in the UK goes to Luton Town FC. Stadium and surrounding area are similar too Chernobyl. Shit fans and shit ground, it makes Putrid Viles unfinished Council tip look like Wembley ( of the North). I travel to Luton often due to work and the place is a total rat infested place of destruction, desolation and disease.
I can not wait to go there next season..

I think am struggling to think of a worse town than Luton pretty much anywhere never mind just the UK. An absolute hell hole of a place. Leicester a close second UK wise. The Potteries far from an oil painting so to speak but Luton makes parts of run down St Louis and New Orleans look attractive to the homeowner.

I can see a lot of you think Nottingham have the best ground, but do you really think the city is great too!? I've not been to their football ground, but I've visited the city without being very impressed. I've travelled around quite a lot in Britain and I do have some favourite towns/cities, but I reckon it's a lot about what you're looking for. Some of my favourite cities/towns, of some size, are York, Liverpool, Brighton, Bath, Canterbury, Norwich, Edinburgh, Oxford and Cambridge. There are of course a lot of small pearls on the south-west coast, in Cotswold, in the Lake District, in the Peak District and in Kent as well.

Dunno why there's so much hate for QPR - more than enough transport options to drink wherever you fancy in London and still get to the game. We had a few around Tufnell Park and Gospel Oak, jumped on the Overground at 14:00 and were in Loftus Road well before kick off. Granted, the concourse is a throwback, but we had a great view - pitched right over the goal - perfect for watching the planes queue up for Heathrow.
Brentford was a great away day this year - big breakfast and a few beers by the river and then onto the excellent Black Dog Beer House. In the ground 5 minutes later and admiring Brentford's fast, flowing style from the terraces.

It's been a few years since I went qpr but if my memory serves me correct from our seat in the away end you couldn't see one of the goals? That is bizzare for a football ground

In fact unless you're either an amputee or a midget you cant sit either as the leg room is appalling Definitely a shit ground. Id also say elland road is a dump too. Must admit i did like the new rotherham ground though

If we are talking just grounds/stadium then for me Brentford was rubbish most of the other places have been plenty of times although Luton is just strange entering through someones house and having a lawn with a shed on it next to the pitch with deck chairs is bizarre.
I find that the away day experiences are for us tends to be great affairs with normally 90 minutes of shit thrown in to balance it out.

From the away games I went too...
Best - Forest by far. Great ground, real throwback and met some of my mates who were forest fans before the game who I hadn't seen in a few years.
Worst - Brentford - what an absolute dive hole that ground is terrible view from the bottom tier in the away the end from where I stood only decent thing was the football from Brentford.

I don't understand the dislike for Brentford?
It has a number of pubs to choose from, great pre/post match drinking on Kew Green
It's old school, and it has terraces!!
I'd never been to Bristol before, and I was really looking forwards to it. The ground's alright, the city is great, but what a ballache to get to the actual ground.

The day out was great mate we went on the train, plenty of good pubs and had a great time (apart from 90 minutes), the ground is a million miles away from championship standard but they are over half way building a new stadium although looking at the design it looks a bit odd with two of the stands sloping down at one end for no apparent reason. Like I said, take away the pre-match activities and the ground it's self is poor although I can understand that they were never going to spent money on it with the new one under construction. I see they are also going to be sharing with London Irish rugby club never really liked it when clubs do these kind of things although from a cash a point of view it makes sense.

Can’t remember where it was .. Loads of car garages around it ...
