Yes, let's hope they are out of the blessed competition 'quick smart' as they say state side. I think in at least 2 of the Sparky Hughes top 10 finish seasons we were the highest placed Midlands club. I know you argue about whether we are a Midland's club or not but we used to feature on 'Star Soccer' with Hugh Johns at 2:15pm on a Sunday afternoon and that's good enough for me. This season the clowns of Wolves, Leicester, West Brom, Villa, Derby, and Forest all finished above us. It would have been Birmingham too were it not for their points deduction. From #9 in the country to #8 in the Midlands, it's been some fall from grace. Our penises will be just a little shorter this summer sadly

Its strange how we have fallen and now Wolves in Europe just couldn't predict how its changed Or you could argue it’s strange how wolves fell to the 3rd tier but we got to a cup final and Europe FFS it’s football deal with it

Its strange how we have fallen and now Wolves in Europe just couldn't predict how its changed How is it strange exactly? Did you really think that Stoke's and Wolves' status was going to stay the same forever? History suggests otherwise, and the investment into Wolves rams the point home even more.

When you’re owned by a committed Chinese investor, operated by a canny CEO and boosted by having super agent on speed dial, it’s not really strange at all. Mendes has allowed Wolves to progress exponentially faster than we could, he was signing world class youngsters when they were in the second tier.

Its strange how we have fallen and now Wolves in Europe just couldn't predict how its changed Yep it’s really strange how the plight of two football teams has fluctuated over the years. It’s almost like that’s what always happens in football over any given period of time.....

Wolves have employed the right people in key positions right through the club including the playing staff. They have taken a gamble on transfer fees regarding FFP but it seems to be working there problems will come from being able to keep hold of Nuno who has done an incredible job there which will not have gone unnoticed. You could say that we could have been sitting pretty with them but to many very bad decisions have been made over the last 3 plus years that has put us were we are now.

Wolves are historically a big club who were mismanaged so badly that they were playing The unwashed about 4 years ago in League one.
I can't stand them but reading comments anyone would think that they are some backwater club.
To finish 7th is almost the maximum any team can achieve , FA cup run , consistently going toe to toe with the big guns . Incredibly lost twice to Huddersfield.
They there on merit , get over it.
I have a Wolves workmate who is currently a nightmare to listen to. But as much as it annoys me he is actually right in saying we got into Europe as losers . Lost a final but rewarded with European football. Wolves have done it over 38 games and fully deserve it.
Of course if they do a Burnley and come 12th or below, people will say ' I told you so ' .
Dingle twats but I don't begrudge them anything

To many games for them they will be relegated next season Not a chance. Agreed they will not be in a relegation battle. Can see them finishing lower next season as the thursday/sunday thing is a massive drain.Wolves have reached their ceiling, now in the bracket of Leicester and Everton.Top 10 for a few seasons and they could easily be back where we are currently.

Wait until their players start rocking the boat in order to force a transfer away

Wait until their players start rocking the boat in order to force a transfer away It’ll happen I’d normally agree, but with Mendes managing most of the players they sign in some capacity I’m pretty sure they will be able to A: replace them and B:they go there with the understanding Wolves are a stepping stone to the top sides. I’m sure Ruben Neves didn’t go to Wolves because he was a big fan of Billy Wright, they made him the focal point of a promoted side and let him then shine in the limelight of the Premier Leage. His growth has been massively accelerated compared to if he’d just remained at Porto.

You may well be right but they won’t get it right every time they replace players I’m not knocking wolves as they’ve gone about it all in a fantastic way in regards running and recruitment but with good players comes big egos and they’ll let that be known when somebody offers more money or it’s a bigger club They ( like us ) are just on loan to the premiership as time will tell, Brighton were the next big thing two seasons ago

What happens is they take the plunge and sign a big household name star who is on most money at the club. The others take umbrage and demand a pay rise or a transfer.... knowing they could easily get both. How those things are managed by the club is one of the big challenges in becoming comfortable at top level. The quirky thing about Wolves is if Mendes is the agent he gets a huge wad for moving his own players on.

In the current climate these things don’t last forever. How many clubs are promoted and stay in the premier league indefinitely? We did incredibly well to stay for ten years, the average is a lot lower. At some point their relative success will end, as it did for us and has done for every other club outside the elite. In ten years we could be discussing ‘remember when Wolves were in Europe and MK Dons were nowhere, look at them both now’ as MK Dons enter the Europa League whilst Wolves are battling at the foot of the Championship.
Vale will still be wank though 😁

Wolves were a big club in Europe many years before us (we never were). When was this? They bang on about playing Honved in a friendly, but they've barely featured in Europe before.
