I don’t believe the Hart stuff for a second but if true we’d struggle to make a worse signing all season. The bloke is finished and has been for 2/3 years now. It's obvious bollocks. More chance of signing Tony Hart or Bret 'The Hitman' Hart. Davies hasn't come to sit on the bench, has he? Oh I agree but he was the name I thought they’d go for and it’s not like they’ve lied in the past (Fonz and Arnie) but I do think it’s bollocks. But it’s right up their alley.

Is there a facility within this forum for bypassing this bloke's posts whilst reading those of interest from others? Why? Because I’m right? Hart is past it. Completely finished. There’s one side that he just can’t save low shots on. Which is sad because he was an excellent goalie but he isn’t any more.

I can't believe the Sun have actually gone quite big on this Hart link. I thought it was jut a bit of tosh they'd put into one of their rolling transfer blogs. But they're going all 'exclusive' on it. Embarrassing.
It's almost like they're oblivious to the fact we've already signed our No.1 keeper.

What makes you so sure he’d be signed to play in goal picture it now at Clayton wood last week Top Exec - What exactly are we going to do about these missed penalties DOF - Ah thought you’d mention that Don’t suppose while you were away you saw the headline England goalie wins penalty shoot out Top Exec - so what’s that got to do with us DOF - we’ve got an England goalie lined up , on a free , Top Exec - Brilliant , That should shut the cone mover up for a bit , offer the keeper 5 years no more than 50k a week and get us a meat feast while your at it

NJ did want 3 keepers, didn't he?
Although with Davies and Federici I can't see us signing another.

We will sign another keeper this window, be surprised if it’s Hart but if/when Butland leave that will mean we have lost 4 goalkeepers this window and only have Federici who has played a competitive game. Am sure Davies has not signed to be someone’s number two or at least he’s signed to have a shot at being number one keeper

But there's usually no smoke without fire, so there must be something in it however small Personally speaking I don't think he is anywhere near what he was, he's gone from England and man city number 1, to Burnleys third choice.

Yeah, simply; - Joe Hart's agent is looking for a new club for his client; - Stoke are very much in the public eye with the sale of prized goalkeeping asset, JB; - Stoke haven't yet announced a replacement; - By throwing this story to the media, it may wake up sizeable and comparable clubs to Stoke; It really is nothing more.

Joe Hart? no chance. The keeper we're in talks with has been released from a Premier League club though. Tony tells me it's "advanced" but he said the same about Victor Anichebe 3 years ago.

Jones wants competition in all areas of the Pitch. He wants a smaller group of players, so everyone gets match time. Also each player giving 100% effort on and off the Pitch. Three GKs fighting for the number 0ne spot would not surprise me. When does this ever happen? You want your #1 keeper playing every game, except maybe cups. Your #3 should simply be a young player wanting to be in and around the first team regularly, or an experienced head who is happy to be pure backup and provide valuable feedback and insight to his colleagues. Having 3 trying to be #1 is a waste of money and demoralising, not to mention that no one in their right mind is likely to accept it if 2 front runners are already signed.

1. Davies 2. Federici 3. Bursik
This is sufficient enough for my liking.

The no.2 position is demoralising enough, let alone the no.3. Davies is 26 and has been a regular in the league for 5 yrs Was the Barnsley captain and in the League 1 team of the year. Has rejected other Championship teams. Is trying to become Wales No.1 Will be on 15k-a-week+, especially as a Bosman. He certainly won't be sitting on a Championship bench. If we do sign another senior keeper, guessing it'll be one who knows his place in the pecking order who can't get anything better. The 2 younger keepers, Bursik and the Bosnian kiddie are only 18 though. And having them as potential no.3s would mean they couldn't go out on loan anywhere, which may be a problem. So could see us maybe getting some veteran free agent type in

Big breaking news from Rob' Bendtner's dad' Dorsett, a month after he'd claimed it'd be announced before the weekend. www.skysports.com/transfer-centreAdam Davies has agreed to sign for Stoke on a free transfer once his existing contract with Barnsley expires at the end of the month, Sky Sports News understands. This increases the likelihood that Jack Butland will leave for a Premier League club during this transfer window. Davies is Barnsley's first choice goalkeeper and club captain, and he was instrumental in them securing promotion to the Championship - he kept 19 clean sheets over the season, but has declined offers of a new deal to stay at Oakwell.
