Utterly depressing set of friendlies so far. Why? Who do you want to play? Another on foreign soil please. Germany, Spain, Portugal. I appreciate we need to get fit etc. But Jesus Christ it's an entertainment business. Something for us long suffering fans would be nice...

Fingers crossed that Berahino has been well and truly fucked off by that point. 🤞 [/b] Strange that you can be instantly sacked from an employer that you have worked for for thirty years, like Danny Baker, simply for sending a tweet that is allegedly but not provable to be racist, and we cant seemingly get rid of a player who has transgressed club disciplines, lied, taken drugs, repeatedly appeared in court, absent from training under false pretences, whatever, Saido Berahino.[/quote] Well covered in the Berahino thread, he’s an technically an asset. You wouldn’t burn your house down because it needed a new kitchen, bathroom and the garden landscaping would you? Once you’d given up on the idea of doing the work yourself or deciding you want rid (like we are with Berahino) you try and recuperate as much as possible. Weird analogy I know but it worked in me head at the time.

Knowing Stoke, a pre season friendly will be the "fee" we charge Utd for Collins.

I enjoy pre season tours as many do .. been doing them since the Bournemouth , Portsmouth and Reading one in the 70s .. but entirely agree with Lord B , be they end , pre or middle of the season they’re for the benefit of either the club or the team .. not the fans ( though bigger clubs cater commercially for their overseas fans ..the returns being in commercial sales )
It’s long been and still is common practise by many clubs , even top ones , to use friendliest as part of any transfer deal ...

It’s a game in a foreign country 🤪
iGenuinely I do know what you mean
would love to see the club play in ... Argentina , China or Japan , , but that’s unlikely given our current league status, so if it’s Lincoln , Wrexham etc that help get us back to the land of plenty and glamour friendlies so be it ..I’ll save the funds for the next big one

Good shout. Can I suggest a three centre break, adding the following: - A week training in the Sahara, followed by daily games kicking off at midday v a crack Nomadic Tribe XI - A week in Antarctica. No football. Just abandoned in designer t-shirts, flip-flops, man-bags full of hair product and a fishing rod. Play a friendly against Fort William,if our strikers can't score at least 2 goals each, get fucking rid ASAP. werent they skint and playing the u18's or something and getting hammered 9-0 each game ?

Maybe Scholes isn't that bothered as he's getting the boot in the summer 😁 Wish they would make their minds up soon , got plans to make and could possibly tie in with a trip abroad. Nothing has ever been announced until mid June mate Just checked, last year it was 4th June for ST Pauli so hopefuly won't be long.

Nothing has ever been announced until mid June mate Just checked, last year it was 4th June for ST Pauli so hopefuly won't be long. St Pauli announced it in the May mate so we booked our flights on their word just as we did Leipzig and Hamburg Worryingly there’s nothing come out from anywhere yet We are no longer a big catch so it’ll be in the middle of nowhere in a meaningless game with all 30 players used ....if it happens

I wonder which club gets the kids From Leicester's point of view you send the kids to the lower side, in this case Rotherham.

U18s and U23s are on Scotland fora week 7-13 July and will both fave a Scottish opposition - ventures dates to be announced soon First XI four more games to be announced next week - here’s hoping he’ll squeeze a game into their training camp in Europe. His pre season routines with Luton don’t suggest thus us a given. More local lower league opponents near to Stoke is what I foresee. ⚽️👍

AFCON runs 21 June - 19 July, we'll have to start without Etebo, Afobe and possibly Diouf and Berahino, depending on how the big sort-out goes. Fingers crossed that Berahino has been well and truly fucked off by that point. 🤞 We wouldnt notice with more than 1/2 of those anyway.
