Apart from the fact that he's not creative and can't really shoot, I'm in. His two goals were good strikes

Let him play a few games there if it will entice him to stay/motivate him.

Defo not a number ten. It would waste his best trait of being able to drive and break the midfield line. He also isn’t good enough at passing/ shooting to be effective up there.

Indeed they were. It'd taken him until the end of the season to find his range Let's hope he can find it a bit quicker this time.

Nigeria losing 2-1 to Cameroon after 45 minutes in their last 16 game.
Hopefully an early return for Pete....

Choupo-Moting representing Cameroon I'd assume too, he's finally done something positive for us in sending Pete home fit and early, god bless.

Whoever scheduled the afcon Cup 12 months after a wc deserves to be locked up the players haven't had a break now for 20 months. The body and mind needs to have a break, thankfully he is a naturally fit guy but constant pressure on the body is not a good thing

There’s been the North and South American version too this summer and I’m sure the Asian version was earlier this year too?

When it was played mid season everyone moaned about players leaving mid season but at least that way they got a proper off season.

He's one I worry about, realistically we won't know if there's a chance he'd go until after ACON.
Would be huge for us next season, maybe our best footballer imo.

He'll have had no training in the diamond formation we'll be using unlike the rest of the squad plus he'll need a rest after the ACON so I can't see him pulling up any trees in the early months of the season.....in fact I doubt he'll figure much at all

We played a variation of the diamond towards the end of last season so he’ll have a pretty good idea what’s expected of him.

Needs another season with us, not the finished piece yet. If we don’t go up and he wants to go at the end of the season, fair enough.

Yep, sounds like the quicker he leaves us 'lower league' minnows and gets some proper coaching the better for all concerned!
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Rohr while commending Etebo, said he still has age on his side but advised that he must aim to leave the lower league in England and play for a big club anywhere in Europe. “Etebo must move up to a big club, players must grow and play in big clubs, most of the work is done in the clubs, not in the national team,” he said.
