Mbappe is loads better than Owen was. Mbappe has the attributes to become the greatest player ever. But he has to leave Paris to really fulfill his potential. aren't Owen and Mbappe quite different players. I agree there was a spell when Owen was as good as anyone I've seen apart from Maradona and Messi. Owen says himself he was never quite the same player after he rushed himself back after his first big injury. He said the thing is when you're young you aren't really aware of problems that can arise later and you just want to play. And when you rely on pace a dodgy hammy is a nightmare.

I’ll wager that young Rashford has already started Spanish lessons.

I think ManC will win the title by five points now I’d wager they won’t. Can’t see where that gap will come from. Wouldn’t surprise me if the dippers pipped them 🤷♂️ I just think Pool will run out of steam now. Citeh got through the two tricky games unscathed, mentally it will take a toll. I think manc will comfortably win all their remaining games now whereas I can see pool dropping points against Leicester and/or Newcastle. Of course Liverpool will also be distracted (and probably further dispirited) by the Champs League as well.

You have to question the managers ability at this level, 1 down with plenty of time left and still plays defensively. With all the supposed talent to choose from and can’t provide a decent challenge. I think city will now win the league and deservingly but I can’t escape the fact that so many teams set up to defend in their own half, when playing them, it’s madness. Spurs have proved that if you get in their faces in their own half they become very uncomfortable. Granted it can backfire but without that mentality, the best you can hope for is a 1 to 5 goal beating because the more time you give them on the ball the better they become.

I’ll wager that young Rashford has already started Spanish lessons. If he went to Real Madrid he'd bag 20/30 goals next season easy.

Alexis Sanchez's touch map from last night. Apparently, it worked out last night at £75k per touch. That's more than Michael Jackson paid.

If you ever needed any further evidence that the vast majority of players are as thick as pigshit you see they've elected Pogba in their team of the year!

He just doesn't give you the feeling he has the fight of a Roy Keane or a Bryan Robson. Not a typical man utd midfielder of old. Pogba is undoubtedly a class act but something about him annoys me. Maybe I am getting old and this is how new players in the modern era are.

Pogba's stats for this season are pretty impressive. 13 goals 9 assists that combination is higher than anyone else in the Prem. Bernardo Silva 7 goals 7 assists David Silva 6 goals 6 assists This is very much one of the reasons why I don't particularly like stats (I think I've made that pretty common knowledge) as I like to think my eyes can tell me if a player is performing or not, I don't need numbers to back it up. For example, the amount of pre assist passes which are possibly more important than the actual assist don't get noted. BUT, if you watch the game and see David Silva slide a lovely through ball to Leroy Sane meaning he has a simple square ball for the goal scorer to have a tap in, you know just who was the key player in that goal. The Silva's are both very similar in that. Look at the Citeh goal against Spurs, it was Bernardo Silva with the lovely clipped ball to the far post for Aguero's knock down to Foden. On the subject of Pogba, how many goals has he cost Utd? Off the ball he is worse than woeful, something you can't throw at the Citeh and Liverpool players also.

Man utd are a rich mans stoke
' less chat, more action 'is the motto of people who go on and live life to the full
But at man utd and stoke, a culture has been created whereby players, executives, board members, are all happy to lol around, chatting about this, that and the other. Wouldn't this be nice! Perhaps we should do that? Etc. And literally getting paid millions for doing just that.
At both clubs, a new broom is needed. More modestly paid players, coaches, executives are needed, who stop debating the arse out of everything and just get their finger out and get on with it.
At both clubs, getting the board to sanction just that, is like asking turkeys to vote for Christmas. Just ain't gonna happen.

I have had a couple of jobs where the workers literally despised their bosses and delighted in using ' targets ' as an excuse to ruin the business Chefs hitting their pence per meal target by producing garbage that drives the customers away etc Postal workers sorting however many letters an hour by chucking the parcels for Stoke in any old sack... Liverpool Huddersfield who cares! I would suggest that Pogba is playing for stats And laughing his tits off

The politics of football clubs say he has to get rid. And the fact is now when he's on form, despite his drive, it serves only to emphasise his usual indifference.

The best outcome is the one that helps stop Liverpool winning the league. That would be fucking unbearable, it would be headline news for the next 10 years. Even more Liverpool tops cropping up all over Stoke, reminders of their recent bad luck, overcoming all the odds, "it's long overdue", "isn't Jurgen Klopp fun?" Fuck that. I dislike Man City wayyyyyyy less than Liverpool. With the greatest respect legs I don't get any anti Jurgen sentiment or anti liverpool winning or off the top 6 there's probably only liverpool or Tottenham that I would like to see win.i certainly don't want manure or man city but iud be quite happy with liverpool and I day this as a stoke supporter of silver 40 years. With regard to Klopp, I think he's bloody great. He's a bit of fresh air compared to half of the dinosaurs around. I love that it's about fun and he's always looking at the bright side. Who wouldn't want him at stoke? With regards to liverpool shirts popping up everywhere, the world is full of plastic fans from Barcelona tops to liverpool, man utd, Bayern etc . It's a fad just like all those who wear Superdry. So I hope they manage it and we have a great season next year. Now where's me tin hat? Cheers

United have spent a little over half of what City has spent. Change the league to "Championship" and you can imagine know how it feels spending thousands of percent more than the top team and yet ending closer to relegation than winning the league!! (OK, OK, I know it's impossible to accurately calculate a percentage change between a negative and positive number - but you get the point!)

Their last match in Division 1 that year - by which time they were already relegated - was at ours - and is covered in various threads on here. The Boothen were singing: "Doc, Doc, Docherty In the f*****g lavatory". Which was nice.

It's not his fault if the media crave after him, nor does he have control over who chooses to follow them. What he has achieved at Dortmund and Liverpool is fantastic playing exciting attacking football. I think he's an interesting character and doesn't just resort to cliches. He's very expressive something English people generally have a problem with. Of course he is a manager who desperately wants to win and openly expresses it. Don't see anything wrong in that. I used to dislike Liverpool immensely as a kid until I went there in my teens. Incredible atmosphere at the games in the 70s, it opened my eyes to another side of football.
