In my opinion Jones needs to think about next season now and play the players he wants to stay. I also think he should let Edwards (I think he will), Collins and Verlinden play all the remaining fixtures. They are the future and need to feel they are players who will be in contention for next season. They also need to get as much experience as possible at this level, and they can hardly do any worse than some of the players Jones picks regularly either. I would also like to see most of the players he wants to get rid of out of the matchday squad. Why on earth does he keep playing Williams as one example. He won't be here next season, and I don't buy this "Bauer can't play" as long as he is on the bench! I don't think he fancies Bauer either, but at least he is our player! I'd even play Diouf who at least is able to run up and down that right side before Williams! ...............Butland................. Edwards....Batth.....Collins.....Clucas ............Allen....Etebo............. Ince............................Verlinden ............Vokes..Diouf............... Please don't play Afobe and McClean!!!!

Collins,Edwards and Verlinden should be definite starters. As for the rest, I couldn't give a toss.

Goals creativity.Intensity. I can't believe my eyes what I'm seeing when he's on the pitch.

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-norwich-jones-shawcross-2779896Jones said late decisions would be made on defenders Ryan Shawcross and Bruno Martins Indi being named to play against Norwich after fitness concerns prevented them playing at Middlebrough.
“Both picked up injuries,” said Jones. “And James McClean, at 8am (Saturday morning) you’d have probably put him in a care home because of the way he was walking with his back and so did well to get through the game.”
Who knows? This is a player who he apparently tried to sell to Forest in January. Will be in a squad playing without wingers next season. And we have a ready-made 19-year-old with potential ready to step in. And yet he plays him half-fit in a meaningless match. So who can predict anything? But in terms of getting a handle on who can contribute, and to what extent, next season, surely we'll be playing all 3 youngsters?

The fact he's playing him half fit, gushing about his work rate and admitting how he played through the pain barrier on Saturday, i'd say it's a 100% certainty he is in the shop window.
I'd be 80% sure of the same happening with Clucas.

So what's happening with Woods then? His disappearance is probably the biggest mystery for me in a season that's made no sense from start to finish.

We played Friday though so he wasn't half fit against boro In Spinsky's video report on the Sentinel site straight after the Boro game, he said Jones had told him that McClean had been very much touch-and-go to start due to his back injury

Bojan, Verlinden are obvious choices. Ince when back from injury, too. I'd like to see Collins given more time but unsure who you drop at the back to make it happen. I'd also like to see Woods given another shot in midfield.

I know he'd gone off a bit after a really promising start, but he was no worse than anyone else yet he seems to have been completely discarded. Can't help thinking something else has cracked off other than a few below-par performances.

Clucas should only be picked as LB (or not at all)
Afobe should only be picked as CF (or not at all)
McClean and Williams should not be picked at all.
