YES!! The new SCFC world really properly began today, we've sputtered close to life a few times now but for me this was the first time it's all come together.
Some beautiful football first half, just a joy to see. Really solid through the spine of the team, quality defensive routines doing their job, and keeping it going through injuries. Love to have seen a second or third goal, we were worth it.
9 from me

Sorry to have missed his celebration at the end but it’s a 9 from me 10 for me, even if it's for the mans enthusiasm and refusal to show any signs of negativity whatsoever. Love his positivity.

8, he got the win and we started well the injuries didn't help the second half, to be a little over critical though I would have liked him to have brought on Verlinden when Shawcross went off and have a reshuffle, but at the end of the day we won and he got it right.

A solid 8 - Had us resolute defensively and carrying a threat on the counter. Hand forced with the subs - but he packed the middle and they had little joy through there after that. I think it might just be starting to click.

9 - defensively good and another clean sheet. Midfield good and improving. Attack - still needs work.
I hate to say it and possibly tempt fate but I think the corner may have been reached if not turned quite just yet. We need to keep this run going to the end of the season now.
Very positive about how things are going and really optimistic for next season. Nathan is doing what he said he would when he arrived.

Didn’t see the game but, I’m quite surprised at the hi ratings tho, as When I checked out the match day thread it was full of negativity and hate

8 could have been 3-0 but questions need to asked about our set piece routines and who takes penalties, surely they have practice sessions in training - surely? Gouranga.

8.5 for me. Subs were forced on him, thought they started well but then we took over. Danny Graham always a threat and Armstrong caused us huge problemsas he did for Newcsstle. Apart from that we were spot on and 2 excellent saves kept them in it.

Didn’t see the game but, I’m quite surprised at the hi ratings tho, as When I checked out the match day thread it was full of negativity and hate I must say I’m surprised too. I thought at times they sliced through our midfield and he never adjusted for that til he took bobo off. Could’ve been done slightly differently by bringing McLean in, who was getting absolutely teased all game defensively. I thought we were fortunate for the win but it was solid enough, what was it - 2 shots on target this time? 7 out of relief for a ducking win...

A difficult game with so many injuries during play.
Concerned that he couldn't change anything round in midfield second half because we were getting overrun, fortunately our defense was outstanding but we ask alot of them and they dont get any help from our midfield who are wasteful with possession. Thought Williams was excellent when he came on.
He gets an extra point from me for not bringing Clucas back into the first XI and sticking with Indi. The defence is not broken so don't try to fix it.

I think thats a little unfair, if its not for our shite peno taking and a worldy from their keeper we win the game with ease, big ifs I know but we definitely deserved the win.

8 because we played well in the first half and won, but whose porridge did verliden pee in? He offers way more than either Ince or McLean. I just don’t get it.

Luton supporter here.
Do not be surprised if you start slow next season. Tatically will not be wrong but probably be a bit slow on the press. Come October though as the fitness comes through you will probably start on a long run of unbeaten games. NJ is not everyone s cup of tea but he knows what he wants. I have been watching Luton for forty years and this is some of the best football I have seen at Luton in that time.

10* It's going to be a good one next season. All the Nathan haters seem to have disappeared after a win. Where is stokeson by the way??

7. could have been an 8 with a Verlinden sub. (A game we should have won 3-0 but could have lost 2-1 a game of football in fact quite enjoyed it.)

The foundation is built. The mortar is going off and the preparations are afoot to build up in the summer.
Good work, craftsman Nathan.
