Although I don’t dispute we played well in patches yesterday, it was still 0-0. Again.
I’m just putting it out there our run in isn’t easy 2 away games, I’d be surprised if we get anything at Swansea and I do fancy a good 0-0 at Blackburn bottom half teams playing for nothing.
Rotherham at home, we’ve always been shite against them I remember them not winning a game away all season last time we played them, and yes they beat us.
Norwich, Sheffield United and boro will be tough and millwall may not be safe.
My prediction is 6 points 3 D 1 W 3 L
0-0 Blackburn D 1-0 Swansea L 2-0 Rotherham W 2-0 Norwich L 0-0 boro D 0-0 Millwall D 1-0 Sheffield L
I hope I’m wrong and we win 7/7 but we haven’t scored in 4!! 😘🤣

A goal would be extraordinarily exciting. A win would be the cherry on top, no doubt about it.

It would be good if we could finish with a plus goal difference.

I could see us causing Norwich and Sheffield Utd more problems than we cause Blackburn or Rotherham. Should be good, open games.

It's slow slow progress.
But this is Stoke so a 3 nil loss to Blackburn will put us right back to square one.
It'll then just be a bit shit for the remaining 6.

We can hope for 7 special- very special- wonderful 0-0 draws to create a lasting legacy for Nathans first half season in charge.

I think we should go for the record 0-0 draws and extend our undefeated streak.🤣

Now our defence is starting to look something like, I can quite easily see us going the rest of the season unbeaten. However our inability for find the back of the net suggests if we do manage to achieve that unbeaten run there will be a number of 0-0's still to come. I predict we will score no more than 3 goals on the run in and probably win only 1 game, which could be against any of them in this league.
Taking 6 points off the Champions elect would be quite a nice epitaph to this disappointing season.

Dilemma. If we are getting closer to a memorable record breaking successive 0-0 draw, will we be able to tell if we missed our penalty on purpose to get the result? Could be a talking point for years about whether we should have scored.

This is not like the negative binary season. That's why the 0-0 draws are not bothering me too much. What I'm watching is a general improvement of the team and the icing on the cake is seeing some of our younger players coming through. If NJ can continue in this vein of improvement, then it will breed confidence and arrogance, and with those attributes, the goals will come.
On Saturday we we looked like a powerful side and we made Wednesday look very ordinary. So for the first time in the last few years I'm beginning to see a chink of light ahead of us. Until recently, I had no faith that the downward spiral would not continue.
The Canaries' success this season is mainly due to all those attributes I've mentioned and their players are playing with a confidence and arrogance that belies the quality of their individual players. They're a proper 'team', and that's what will win you games. Jones's former side Luton are doing the same thing, so I reckon it's a case of being patient and not being suicidal because we're struggling for goals.
OS.

I thought we were going downwards in the table when losing two points in every game, but somehow we are now 14th!?

I'm with you Old Stokie, as long as we get two High quality strikers. Clean sheets speaks for themselves ... I thought we were doing 10 out, 8 in this upcoming summer, but after listening to NJ interviews I thinks 2-3 players both ways is a more likely outcome.

Honestly, no expectation. Turn a few of these 0v0's to 1v0 wins would be grand.

That feeling is due to too many 114 proof shots. Oh, wait, I understand, you mean to the rest of the season. Hope you’re right and Blackburn are in for a torrid time picking the ball out of their net!

I think it will click next match. And I'm backing us to remain unbeaten until the end of the season.
0-3 Blackburn W 1-1 Swansea D 2-0 Rotherham W 1-1 Norwich D 0-1 boro W 0-0 Millwall D 2-2 Sheffield D
13 Pts, which will put us on 61 and around 12th with +1 GD
