11 shots 3 on target and some good chances shows we had attacking intent, these players aren't suddenly going to become world beaters, the squad is very one paced due to the players signed by previous managers and lacks any real creativity, once we've had a proper window to change that (no one rips apart a squad in Jan) then hopefully that changes, until then not a lot will change drastically. Don't expect world beaters and more than happy for Nathan to get a deserved pre season and get rid of the deadwood, but I'm not going to say I'm happy when I'm not regardless of whos fault it is. H I can't see you being happy for the rest of the season then tbh, I'm not saying I am either, but given the players this is probably the best we can expect until next season, for me today wasn't the worst its been and I saw improvement on recent games even if it wasn't huge.

Poor. Verlinden, Edwards and the clean sheet the only real positives from today McClean had a good game don't you think?

That was horrendous. I think half our team have forgotten how to play football. I appreciate that the weather didn’t help but they can’t even get the basics right. Biggest culprits
Allen - tries hard but how often did he give the ball away today Ince - total lack of effort Afobe - even trips over his own feet McClean - hard to criticise a man that tried so hard but there just isn’t an end result Indi - poor distribution
Thought Verlinden was a bright spot. Did well on his debut.

Tracked back well though. Thought BMI did ok. Especially when he tried to tackle a player with his head when he was on the floor

We’ve scored eight goals in 14 league games since Jan 1st. Four of those were in 2 games against. Leeds and Forest. Good job we aren’t conceding or we would be in a relegation battle for sure.

You're saying eleven pro players cannot be expected to score this season, as today and the previous two games no scoring is the best we can do...

Desperate stuff - how has it come to this ? That question has more ammo in it than an American war ship. The club is rotten and needs restructuring. They are failing year on year but seem quite oblivious.

I thought we did everything well except score. Verlinden is clearly the next Messiah. Otherwise Shawcross, Batth and Edwards were solid. BMI considering he is out of position, is doing okay at left back. Allen gave his all, passing was a bit and miss but he got things going forward. Etebo was also positive and worked his nuts off as was McLean. I thought the game passed Ince by, and Vokes couldn’t get on the end of anything. But I generally thought we were the better team.
I would like to see a bit more finesse at corners. We had a bunch of them in the first half and none of them looked dangerous.
Still, I am leaving the ground feeling positive and optimistic about where we will be next season if we keep going in this direction.

OK not the best of games but having played in these sort of conditions in the past, not condusive to good football.
That said it was our usual game of nearly. Could have scored 5 from the chances but didn't.
The rot of letting goals in has stopped, clean sheet 7 games unbeaten. Would have taken this last season. Verlinden was impressive for a first game. Sadly Bojan looked a little boy lost. OK lacks game time but even taking that into account unimpressed.
Two weeks of training coming up hopefully put to good use.
