Wish I could say I saw that coming but tbh I was losing hope it ever would, wasn't even seeing how. Fluent, authoritative, sound at the back and through the middle, genuinely creative for long spells of the game, and that was against decent opposition. And a big up to Nathan for getting on with what he's been trying to do and ignoring us lot. Fantastic day at the office.
9* from me

8.5*
I said a couple of weeks ago ‘keep the faith’.. I’m a believer.. The ‘Jones looks out of his depth brigade’ look rather silly tonight, let’s hope this continues.

Correct starting line up. (Amazing what a striker like Afobe can do with someone playing behind them...)
Correct subs at the right time.
Players knew their roles.
Forrest were rubbish going forward if tidy in midfield - reminded me of some of the shit we've had to endure this season.
Good game to watch really

Subs were made at the right time. Good starting line up, bit surprised by Shawcross but had little to do at the back and dealt with it ok. Bojan was done by the time he came off but fitness will come with games, great reception for Charlie. Stupid reaction by a section of fans for the Bojan/McClean sub as was 100% correct.
8/10

8* Nice to see him get one over on another old stages in MON. For that alone well done NJ, set us up well to nulify the predictable old guard.

8* Keeping my feet firmly on the ground and not getting carried away Decent performance, albeit Forest wren't very good Nice to see Afobe playing like he was interested and thought Bojan did well, brought off at about the right time as he clearly isn't match fit Bruno is obviously not a LB,but was sound defensively, even if his teammates wouldn't pass to him in the first half We still managed a few wobbles at the back but all-in-all, some signs of progress Hope Etebo is OK as he is starting to look the part

a step in the right direction
Still too early to judge him properly until he has the players he needs. But he showed today that he can be pragmatic and sort shit out

Delighted with the result for Nathan, for the players and for the fans,
Just think that he does need to be given time as he has obviously had a lot of s*** to deal with.
I am certain he will be the managerial choice for SCFC !

7.5 decent win but I’m not getting carried away, the starting lineup was as random as ever and we’ve left ourselves very short of options with Pieters and Campbell going out on loan without proper replacements coming in. BMI played well but is never a LB.
I suspect those giving him 9’s and 10’s were giving him 2’s and 3’s just a week or two ago when in reality he deserved a 6 or thereabouts.
Still much work to do, signs of improvement but I’m way past the point where I think any win is suddenly going to bring about a complete turnaround in our fortunes, the chances are we will lose next week and it’ll be back to square one.
But we’ll done NJ and the lads today, back it up with another point or three next week please.

A wins a win. Less then convincing for large chunk of the game, in Jones’s words we were nervous and edgey.
Last 20 mins we clicked into gear...

8.5* Probably as close to controlling a game as we've done all season. Good substitutions. Jones' comment at the end about telling Ince to go into different areas in the second half transformed Ince's performance and showed a real tactical understanding.

He had no choice with the Etebo substitution. So it was the Bojan sub? What was wrong with that? Bojan was very quiet and not pressing enough.

8 Good performance and a decent game to watch. Thought we dominated for much of the game. Happy with Jones's starting line up. I like to see 2 creative players starting in Ince and Bojan rather than the plodder McClean who seems better coming off the bench later in the game. Just a shame that the players couldn't have produced such a good display on a regular basis this season as the current candidates for the playoffs don't look that great.

9* It was an excellent performance. For the first time the team looked like the living embodiment of the manager - physical, organised and playing on the front foot. It's given me hope again because I was starting to doubt that it would ever happen.

He had no choice with the Etebo substitution. So it was the Bojan sub? What was wrong with that? Bojan was very quiet and not pressing enough. He was replaced by someone who has none of the basic skills required of a footballer, who is worse out of possession than he is in possession.

But made more impression and chased everything has he was required to do. Perhaps Bojan should take a lesson in that?
