Athletic Bilbao - fascinating club, incredible set-up given the whole basque only region thing. Plus the colours.

Barcelona. Pick your matches, and stay in Roses. Ok it's a bit of a hike to get to the matches, but ....

1 game each week on ITV4. 4 each week on Premier Sports (pay tv on Sky and Virgin). 9 each week still on Eleven Sports. Deals all to be renegotiated in the Summer.

They’re in the second division now but I always had a soft spot for Osasuna after we played them in a few friendlies over the years. Mark Devlin’s finest hour...
Phil Ball’s book on Spanish Football is absolutely tremendous and would recommend highly to anyone with an interest.

I have no idea why.

Malaga is a good team to go see, loads of Ex pats go and a good atmosphere.
Found myself on costa del sol a few times when they have been at home.
There's a train along the coast that runs every 20 mins to malaga then about a 10 minute walk to the ground.
Also last time I went ticket was about 15 euros, bargain.

I went to see Barca V Osasuna years ago, Ronaldinho, Eto, Deco and a very young Messi played. Always followed Osasuna since.

The old and the new are like chalk and cheese. I'd love a stadium like that, pretty much smack bang in the city centre.

Tell us about the Osasuna friendlies For some reason am intrigued They were both at home - one at the Vic in about 1996 under Lou that we won 2-0, with Devlin getting both goals. The other was just after we'd been promoted to the Prem and we drew 2-2 in a decent game. Couldn't remember for the life of me who scored but according to Sky it was Shawcross and Delap. Champ 01/02 legend Walter Pandiani scored for them.

Talking of English fans of Spanish clubs...... In Manchester a pub team of ManU fans wanted to combine the best of the best in their Team name. After many a pint, the decision was unanimous ....... Real Shit.
Send your donations to my comedian training fund and the next one might be better, but I wouldn't hold my breath!
