Course I'd have taken the 3 points but not sure we'd have deserved them. Dour would do away from home or against top sides if it's backed up by rock solid competence, which for me is 90% a training ground/managerial issue not player error or lack of it - but we don't even have that yet under Jones. Today, really not easy to see that we're moving in a positive direction and I hope Nathan's man enough to accept that too.

Positives: We got a point Wet didn't join the three teams to have lost to Ipswich in the league this year Vokes had his best game Batth is our best centre back
Negatives One shot on target, which considering the chance is effectively zero! Dreadful substitution; it's a psychological submission and is likely to backfire unless playing a team you expect to get battered by. The players aren't buying into him: anyone seen woods wigan post match interview, his body language is disgusting. All our midfielders offer nothing. Conceded from a set piece. Generally going backwards as a team.

5, Afobe was a poor sub, we lost too much once McClean went off, if the players had done their jobs it wouldn't have mattered if they scored, we had enough chances in the first half to end the game.

He's not really that convincing as the person who will get us back to the Premier League.

I've been very vocal in my support for the manager but as soon as I saw Ryan coming on my heart sank. Sadly playing with Ryan these days is like playing with 10 men and I just knew we'd throw it away. Basically NJ handed hope, momentum and initiative to a beaten team. So 6.8 for the first 85 mins and 1.2 for the last 5 minutes.

For 70 minutes we deserved the win, the subs cost us the game though. McClean was playing well and we had nothing down the left when he was taken off, the obvious sub for me was Ince but we had nobody on the bench who could play on the right hand side. Taking Woods off was also a big mistake, he had an average game but the side lost all shape when both he and McClean had gone off.
The Shawcross sub was the killer though, it confused the defence and meant nobody knew who to pick up, that and the ridiculous passing of the captains armband with just a few minutes to go, it made no sense whatsoever. It’s easy to say in hindsight but it unsettled me a great deal when he came on as you knew then it was backs to the wall, it was a mess of our own making though as Ipswich hasn’t really done anything to justify us going so deep and defensive, ultimately that cost us the victory.
All said, it was still an improvement and we are starting to see a side that have a game plan, it’s not so effective yet but we are getting better, I hold out hope that NJ can turn this club around.

4 - NJ is a good guy I feel, and i'd love it to be different, but Im reverting to my view at the time of Rowett going - this is too big, too soon, in his career. I'm not slating him, because he has many qualities, but I just don't see his sort of manager making headway given the size of our issues and the culture of nepotism and country club amateurism at the top. He is trying hard. But we need an experienced heavyweight, given they'd need to get the entire playing side of the club by the scruff of the neck. Don't think Jones has the gravitas, political acumen or leadership calibre for that right now. (Then again, that's why the Board appointed him:- because he wouldn't upset them, challenge them, hold them to account or overly demand).

We are bloody awful to watch. We didn’t deserve to win and got just what we deserved.
Nothing has changed from Rowett to Jones.
Bojan has been sent to Coventry again and we rely on the likes of McLean to run about a lot.
I can’t get over how awful our games are to watch I was basically numbed of any feeling way before the inevitable equaliser went in

For all this talk of creativity he’s done nothing to warrant it this season, Ince too, both far too lightweight and unsuited to this league.

It's really a waste of time rating the manager at the moment. We've got a dis-functional squad that he's largely inherited, bar 2 players. It's going to take time for him to suss out who he needs to keep and who to let go. We're not going up or down this season. We've just got to grin and bear it until the manager gets something like a team that plays his style of football.

10* for the day out. Always a cracking away game, sound pubs friendly locals and no bother at all. 5 for NJ today though.I do feel sorry for him and can't wait for summer so he can get rid of alot of the wankers in the squad and get his own men in. I'll judge him fairly after he has had his chance to put his plan in place.

0. Bringing on Shawcross at the end cancelled out all the good work to that point. It caused mass confusion at the back, nobody knew who to mark and we gave away a heade goal to an unmarked player AGAIN. Batth and BMI had developed a good relationship and looked as solid as a rock. Ipswich never looked like scoring until then. Talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Clucas was both rubbish and should be nowhere near the starting 11. McLean was OK and should have been left on. Edwards was excellent and Adam made a difference when he came on but he should have replaced Ince a lot earlier because he was clueless. How bad can Bojan be in training that he doesn’t even warrant a cameo appearance? Two points and two goals in five games against rubbish teams with no recognizable players is not acceptable. I hope for his sake that we win next week or the fans will likely turn on him and things could get ugly.

And if anyone thinks Tom Ince offers anything more than Bojan does, they must be as crackers as the manager.

Absolutely criminal that anybody should be placing all the blame on Nathan Jones. From day one he has done nothing but fight to make this club a better one. Denis Smith was my hero when he was a player but his rant on Radio Stoke was abysmal. Five minutes to go and Ipswich were throwing players forward especially for any set pieces! The fact of the matter is that the Ipswich goal was frustrating and annoying and any fan is going to find it difficult to control emotion and looks to blame someone. With Shawcross, Bath, Indi and Afobe defending a set piece should we be conceding a header from a corner. It had nothing to do with the shape of the team!

We were playing the worst team, by a country mile, in this division. They gave us a goal start and we had one shot on target. That performance was awful. The team he selected was awful.

Thought we were ok at times.
1 shot on target and the nature of that shot is unacceptable.
BEST case scenario you win 1-0 with those stats.
They were shit and they should’ve been battered.
Tempted to change it to a 2 just on that count.
