Decent enough IMO plays too deep though to give himself time.

A few games in all our new acquisitions look good! (I think i'd steal a living for 3 games....) Which astute sod was it that posted that thing about the player hype curve? So true!

Early doors but he does the basics well, which is exactly what we need.

With all the negative posts and threads our new CB doesn’t seem to be getting any decent reviews or praise. For me he’s been excellent since he’s arrived, seems cool under pressure does the basics right and seems to be gelling well with BMI. Looks like a very solid signing to me. Considering that he has come into a team that is bereft of confidence and is basically totally gash I say he's doing pretty well yeah.

Given the fact that I usually detest BMI, the most positive thing I can say about Ba’ath is that his presence seems to have turned BMI into a solid defender.I actually thought BMI was our best player.

Very average player. Steady defender no more and hopeless on the ball, opposition teams happily let him get it off Jack.

I think he and BMI are starting to form a very good partnership. Not much got past them in open play last week against a free scoring side and tonight, albeit against different opposition and a different style of play, the same. It might not be building the Eiffel tower overnight but it's green shoots of recovery. Bear in mind tonight they played against Leon Clarke, who absolutely roasted us at Brammall Lane earlier in the season. Tonight he hardly had a kick. Very good point about leon Clarke to be fair

I take it you're forgetting BMI's first season when on loan to us. He's a decent defender especially at this level.

No mate, he’s been one of my least favourite defenders literally since day 1- I have to say I can’t believe the improvement in his game since Ba’ath has come. I’ve always thought he is caught out of position far too often, it’s a pleasant surprise to see him playing as he did on Wednesday, long may it continue.

A good signing, in my view. The very beginnings of what we need.

Defense looked very good and impressive today.
Batth is excellent in this league, rarely makes an error and a good leader.
Potential player of the season if he keeps this consistency up

If we get a decent young left back in the summer I think the defence won't be far off.

He's an "old school" centre half and that's exactly what we've needed for a while now. It must help Ryan greatly knowing he has a partner who knows exactly what he's doing as well so he can concentrate on his own game.
