With all the negative posts and threads our new CB doesn’t seem to be getting any decent reviews or praise.
For me he’s been excellent since he’s arrived, seems cool under pressure does the basics right and seems to be gelling well with BMI.
Looks like a very solid signing to me.

I thought he didn't look any worse or any better than either Shawcross or Williams, he can certainly hoof it though.

I think he and BMI are starting to form a very good partnership.
Not much got past them in open play last week against a free scoring side and tonight, albeit against different opposition and a different style of play, the same.
It might not be building the Eiffel tower overnight but it's green shoots of recovery.
Bear in mind tonight they played against Leon Clarke, who absolutely roasted us at Brammall Lane earlier in the season. Tonight he hardly had a kick.

He's a much better organiser in my view and BMI looks so much happier in his natural role alongside a right footed CB.
He also looks better up front at corners than Williams or Shawcross.
Back four is sorted now just leave it and work on the 4 midfielders and get the right mix for matches.
I think Etebo and Allen will always start if Charlie keeps form he should in my opinion play at least 60 sub for Woods. Then one place left for Ince/Bojan to play for.

It’s early days and while we could have conceded tonight the defense overall looked less likely to panic. A concern for me is how slow he is, a couple of times he was having to make desperate sliding tackles due to a lack of pace. He seems to have been bought for his leadership qualities and if that is the case fair enough, but he's not a better centre half than either Ryan or Williams.

I don't see how Adam can play in the system Jones wants, even for 60 mins, he hasn't got the legs, if we set up as we did against Leeds and he has a spare defender to cover him fair enough but no chance in the base of a diamond.

Good on you posting a positive. There is such an abundance of negativity. Calling nearly half the team shit. The manager shit. The pies shit. The parking shit. Fuck off. Again tho, cheers for a positive in a sea of shit. Batth in my humble has looked a great player and a brilliant addition. Just don’t tell anyone....

Very good addition. Also Bruno was putting some get crosses/balls forward today! Couldn’t believe it! Must have picked something up in his left back training.

He's fine for a team that's in deep trouble. But in an ideal Jones team I don't see what good he can do. He's a very limited player, and if there's a place in that ideal team for Bojan and Adam, then it will be counterproductive to have a defender who hoofs the ball over those two players, especially if the focus point is unable to do anything with those balls.

Yes I thought Batth looked good last night. The last two games I think the defence has looked more solid than it has done all season with Batth and Bruno.
Bruno has improved but Batth is definitely the leader at the back and is the only stoke centre back all season who has strung a couple of good performances together

Good signing.
He looked "OK" against Hull and was not responsible for the goals. Did not see the West Brom game but keeping them down to 1 goal speaks for itself.
Last night he commanded the defence and we generally looked very solid against a team that took us apart early in the season.
