Wigan is fucking horrible, I can't believe we can't 3 points off these knobs 3pts| in 2 games against these this season, we havent even managed to score a goal.

The moaners will always moan but that was a good display tonight..well done stoke. Get Charlie into midfield now instead of woods on sat and we'll bag some points Easily pleased, as it most definitely wasn’t a good display.

Well we huffed and we puffed, missed at least three good chances and sad to say we do not look like scoring. Positives are one point gained, a clean sheet and maybe a bit of growth in confidence. Still too much pissing about at the back.

Last year we were a premiership side. We’re now struggling against fucking Wigan. That’s the problem. Wigan were a premier league side not too long ago, and they had the better of us then too. Completely irrelevant. We used to dominate West Brom, now...?

How the fuck does he think Bojan is not good enough for these wankers? I'm hoping the night off means a full game for Bojan on Saturday. Where would we be without wishful thinking....

Said by so many, but so true...
Woods - Too many touches. Allen - Useless. Ince - Greedy.
How can the guys up front be expected to do anything when the midfield can't deliver.

Jones has his work cut out and I hope he is given a chance. But 4 or 5 of that team are not even league 2 standard not matter how much we are paying them. Recruitment has come home to roost yet again

Sorry but IMO that was utter shite from start to finish. Ropey at the back and toothless up front against a team who were in league one last season.

I'm surprised to see so much moaning. Yes, we're no great shakes, but the improvement is there for all to see. It's going to be a very gradual process, but we are moving forwards.
We've eliminated the stupid counter attack goal and tightened up set plays. The biggest difference tonight was that we made ourselves much better at playing our way out of danger and starting counter attacks. We also showed vastly improved fitness levels, finishing the match on the front foot.
Yes, it's a nil nil draw against Wigan, and that's depressing all on its own, but we are getting better.
Edit: we cant score goals to save our lives, but that will only be remedied by a big summer clear out, which is still very much required.

Sigh if Crouch had been given 3 or 4 games back to back like Vokes I'm sure he'd have done a whole lot better. He's better in pretty much every department than Vokes. Why have we signed him? Our corners are diabolical. Another toothless performance from the lads. Sigh. Really don't get the obsession with Crouch, borderline weird.

Better effort especially second half, just lacking the end product, looked more solid throughout but need composure in final third, just shows how much we have paid over the odds for our players but definitely a step in the right direction.

Doubtless a load of talk about ‘improvements’ and ‘works in progress’ but in reality just the sort of performance that got Rowett the bullet. Dull and uninspiring. Rowett's mouth got him the bullet. I'll say it again, the reason this performance is similar to that of Rowett is because it's largely the shit he lumbered us with. We've got rid of Martina and Williams, bought back Edwards and Bauer with new signing Batth and given the side more strength at the back and more pace in Edwards/Bauer. Two games in a row now and the keeper has had hardly anything to save. Vokes is more suited to being a target man up front than Afobe, at 12M, ever was. That's just this man's first two signings and he's improved things, albeit not at the pace we would all like. Give him the summer and more signings and i'm confident he can and will improve it further.

Not being funny john but opposition up front was shocking Leon Clarke we should be dominating players of that ilk

Been saying it for 2 years! And as much as I wish Bojan was the solution he's not, he could be part of it but will not remedy the fact that we have no creative players especially in the midfield.

So who gets cleared out to remedy the situation of being unable to score a goal? Given we looked so much better with Adam in the side against Leeds, and all season whichever combination we've had in midfield we've looked awkward and extremely 'samey' (across two managers), wouldn't you start there? We aren't creating much because those in midfield can't create. Allen has never been a creator for us, Etebo I'm lost with and Woods spends more time passing backwards than forwards. All of them are awkward in possession and their first instinct when they get the ball is to take a few steps back into space by which time the move is lost.

Aside from that I may have given Clucas a 5 or 6, he was not great but much better than he has been.
