How many hours or days can you be sick in England, and still be able to be welcomed at the Emergency unit at a Hospital?
Here in Sweden they say within hours, the same day or the day after. In extreme cases, 2-3 days. Otherwise you have to go to your ordinary "family doctor" or visit a specialist. However, the waiting list is always long and the expected time to wait is 2-3 months.
I had an infection in January. It was only partially gone, and now more symptoms have appeared, including pain.
I'm on the waiting list now, but ...
How do English people solve it? When can you see the Emergency staff?

Normally in a situation like that, we would go down to ‘accident & emergency’ and join the queue. You will either get seen within a few hours, or die. Either way, A&E is probably the best place to be.
If it’s an infection, but not a ‘serious’ infection you’d make an appointment with your doctor and probably be seen the same day if you request it, or within two or three days if there’s no rush.
That’s how it is down here in Somerset anyway. I suspect it might be a bit of a longer wait in SoT or any of the other major cities.
