Let's get the 2019 cycling going shall we! Tour of Valencia started today, just about to watch the highlights of Day 1 TT with GT making an appearance. The bird interviewing him on Eurosport at the start aint too shabby. A bit of stalking...Laura Meseguer Mata: A couple of good stages on the Tour of San Juan too - the Stage 6 with the Argie trio was a great watch and absolutely smashing performance from them.

Yeah it's started again !
I've watched the Tour Down Under, the Sun Herald Tour and the Tour of San Juan - some pretty good performances already. I've recorded but not yet seen the Tour of Valencia.
The races just keep on coming now don't they - won't be that long till the Strade Bianchi, Tour of Flanders, E3 Harelbeke, Gent-Wevelgem etc etc, and the rest of the Monuments - can't wait ! Then it's Paris-Nice and on to the Giro !
Laura's very nice - she's been on Eurosport for a while now as their "roving reporter".

Ineos, British petrochemical company, due to be confirmed as the new sponsor for Team Sky in the next couple of days with the name change likely before the Tour de France. Even bigger budget than Sky provided so Froome, Thomas, Bernal, Kwiato and Co. all staying.

I'd personally like to see them get a Froome-Thomas-Bernal podium and really dominate. If they're going to be hated they may as well get the most out of it. I wonder what the new colours will be ?

Sky Sports says name change from 1 May and team will compete for first time at the Tour De Yorkshire starting 2 May.
On a different note what a shame for Adam Yates today in the Tirreno Adriatico. After the Time Trial missed out on the title by 1 second to Primoz Roglic.

I'm in Lanzarote on hols till Thursday and have recorded the Tirreno Adriatico for when I get home and had been trying to avoid KNOWING THE RESULT !

Still worth watching the stages, 4,5 & 7 particularly. Was a good year for Paris Nice too. Who so we fancy for MSR this weekend? Sagan seems out of form and has been ill recently. Quite fancy Alaphillipe for an escape or Sam Bennett in a sprint - although fairly sure Bora will be all in for Sagan unless he is on a shocker which makes it difficult for Bennett.
