Persevere with the fancy formations or
Revert to 442 and hard graft to grind out some points??

A 442 diamond isn't fancy...
Hopefully he doesn't do the latter, or else (for the millionth time) what was the point of sacking Rowett?
The longer he reverts to safety first and grinds out points, the longer it takes to implement his actual system.

Nathan Jones was hired precisely because he has a philosophy and a tactical that he sticks too. One that allowed him to take Luton from the depths of the doldrums to the cusp of the second tier. When we actually carried out one of his plans, we beat Leeds. It's not Jones that needs to change, it's the players. They either buck their ideas up now, or he should be allowed to sell whoever he wants in the summer.

He reverted to a flat 442 today for the last 10-15 minutes.
We were worse with that than we were with his diamond in the first half.

It might take ten games or more for the players to get their head around the system, do the necessary drills in training, get fitter etc etc.
Already people who were screaming “patience” are getting tetchy.
We either want change or we don’t, anyone who thought it was a 4/5 game process was kidding themselves....

Although we’re not doing great I believe he is is assessing what he has to work with (no alternative?) and then building based on his style and beliefs. It will/may be a bumpy ride

He'll either shine as the key to left side of defence and we will be upping any sell on clauses in his contract or he'll freeze like a deer in the headlights. Knowing us....

This is all new to him. Egos ,Loads of cash .Big crowds. The politics of the pizza boys keeping their jobs at all costs. The New fans that don't know their arse from their elbow. All this and the Championship one of the hardest leagues in the world. If he gets us though this it will be a better job than anything hes done up to now. I wish him luck.(hes going to need it.)

Persevere with the fancy formations or Revert to 442 and hard graft to grind out some points?? Not so sure it's the formation, but hard graft is what is wanted in any formation. Hard work, e.g trying to run fast, might help, because listening to our lot, we are agonizingly slow when we have the ball.It seems to take us forever to get into the last third while the opposition, whoever it is, seems yards quicker than us and get into our third with two or three passes.

Got a horrible feeling his time at Stoke is going to completely ruin his career? And look how well Luton are doing - serious Karma.

You would think 4-4-2 is a guaranteed winning formation the way some go on.
It's not fancy trying to play other formations we are now in 2019 the game has moved on.

We’re bad but it’s on the players, it’s not on Jones.
We need a good rid out in the summer, Jones needs to bring in more of his own players.

I’m not sure if it’s about egos.
The players are working with a new system and have to be given time to adapt. He hasn’t got a summer to work with players.
Patience is key . We need to stick with the system until the end of the season to create the springboard for next year.
It will take time , let’s stick with him and the players and take a reality check of where we are.
I’ve seen worse times than this. Going down to league one and realising we had no assets apart from a young Dean Crowe was a worse low.
We have money, good players and a young, bright, manager.
It’s down to us to be back them and show patience.

Did people really think his tactics, formation and philosophy would be instilled over 4 weeks and 4 games? Don't get me wrong, I want to win 7 nil every week, but sometimes we're our own worst enemies on here.

Yes were very bad today but we were no different to most games this season. Everyone just needs to calm down a bit. There’s going to be a lot more of this before it gets better.

Got a horrible feeling his time at Stoke is going to completely ruin his career? And look how well Luton are doing - serious Karma. Very real risk hence we have to stick with him even if he takes us down , he is naive and a bit eccentric in his selection and panders to the noise but lest we forget . He was half the price of the type needed to do the job , he was selected to maintain a status quo which had failed miserably and consistently by those with vested interest in it continuing . He is a symptom not the disease and while he isn’t helping himself it’s not his fault we are where we are
