When is this since? It's not surprising though. The only player we've ever sold for significant money is Arnie, and we spend every single summer. A clear indictment of the recruitment strategy, but a counter to the people who accuse the Coates family of not putting the money in; the money is always available for managers to spend, it's just been spent very poorly for the last few seasons.
EDIT: cheers for clarifying the length of time.

"I can show you 2 big signings from every premiership club that have failed.."
Tony scholes comments as SCFC sit mid table in the championship whilst being the 6th biggest net spenders in the country over the last 10 years.
Absolutely remarkable our recruitment team are still in a job.
'Nothing wrong with the system'.. it's just those doing it

And yet the clowns running the club remain in their posts.
We’re run like a charitable organisation.

Even if we'd received good fees for Butland, Allen and a couple of others we'd still be on the list. :S You could take off Wimmer and Imbula and we'd still be on the list...

But nobody will tell us who.
SCFC. The microscopic version of the world.

just as a side note, the turnover of players for the italian clubs is staggering And that paints an abysmal picture of stokes recruitment process

Can Bet365 offlay this against tax? Only way I can see this making sense.. I am not an accountant (maybe there is someone who is on here who can confirm) but as SCFC is subsidiary of Bet365 we are part of the same "group" and I am pretty sure you can offset the losses of one company in the group against the profits of another company in the group. I think that's why its kept as a subsidiary of Bet365 - if there was no benefit of having a loss making company as a subsidiary of Bet365 they surely would have it as an entirely separate company outside of the Bet365 group - Denise isn't an idiot. I can't see that the offsetting would mean they wouldn't be better of if we made a profit. It's on tax on that portion of the profits but maybe it softens the blow.

Can Bet365 offlay this against tax? Only way I can see this making sense.. I'd of thought so, but you only save what you would have paid in tax. I don't know what corporation tax rates are but at 20% that would be 46 million approx, 30% would be 69 mill etc. This still leaves a huge loss.

If Coastes finally saw sense and sacked the bally lot of them tonight and it all went to a tribunal, it would want evidence as to why he did that.
And there it is. Right there.

benjaminbiscuit does not like this net spend, dept send, spet nend I’ve no problem , we stopped spending at the required level and it killed us , clearly we saw the disasterous Returns , but chose to stop spending rather than change those accountable so we got loans and frees in and made a £12m profit in the summer of 2017 and lost £100m revenue but kept the sm3 transfer team

Thank you Bet365! You don't realise do you, how much gets swallowed up! Bet365 still yet to go Global I believe? So could be more investment opportunities in the coming years?

It looks like that we could incorporate the “PROCESS “ into making money for the club, Tony could use it for enticing new club partnerships and Globally known companies to advertise their products, all after due diligence of course !

I think when Villa were in trouble last summer they owed something like £180million and facing FFP in the face, this was after they made a concerted push for promotion and had just failed in the Playoff final. Villa are considerably a bigger club than Stoke, and so at least have extra income from larger gate receipts/ shirt sales etc. How are we supposed to explain a business plan for a more self sufficient future, with this millstone around our necks and the prospects of lower gates and with a stock (Players) that has little commercial value ? Explain this one away Tony !

Not one of us out here in Oatcakeland would still be in a job if we were even 10% as shit as Cartwright/Scholes and the process. Something smells like the most stinking pile of fish you have ever encountered......

Imagine when something happens to Pete, can you believe that the power behind Bet365 Denise is going to continue pumping money into a vanity project ? The reason that most successful people get to the top is by being utterly ruthless.
