Clarke is £5 Million, surely we aren't skimping that much? He's not exactly the pacey CB we desperately need is here. Where has 5mil come from? Seems a bit cheap I would have thought they'd want much more than that. That was what Nicko tweeted, he also metioned Batth interest either Saturday or Sunday. I realise believing Nicko is a bit of a sin though!

If we get Clarke/a younger CB too, I’ll be delighted. stockpiling centre halves ,surely some have to be sold or loans cancelled 👀

How many matches are we giving him where he's the best thing since Smithy before becoming as bad as Wimmer

Even when fans of his 2 most recent clubs say he's garbage ? Perhaps those making the comments are similar to some on here or make similar unfounded comments. Let’s wait and see eh!!! Yes,as opposed to if the manager wants him he must be good !

My Wolves mate has text me saying "if you just need him to clear high balls and push people out of the way, he's decent. Had highest % of clearances in The Championship a couple of seasons ago. But he's got a foot like a Toblerone so he may not be much use if you need him to play football."
As always, it's best to give people a chance and judge them after a while.
But this one seems very odd to me. really don't think he's the sort of player we need.
Edit. Just seen that we're still in the market for another centre half. If it's someone with a bit of pace, then the Batth thing makes a bit more sense!

So even if a second CB doesn't come in, got to be one leaving surely? No way it'll be Shawcross. Unlikely we'd pay up Williams. And BMI offers some cover at left-back. So who knows?

A leader, solid defender and a footballer in Clarke wouldn't be bad pairing (maybe)

At the moment we've got 2 centre backs who just can't head the ball and the third with a head like a 50p piece and all three as slow as barges. Get Clarke or someone similar in alongside him an he'll do for me.

Report in the Sentinel suggests that Stoke have been "impressed" by the performances of DB for Middlesborough this season. So looks like the transfer team have been hoodwinked again.
Also comment there that Tone will be sorry to lose a useful player to his old club Stoke. Probably if he said something in that regard its likely to be reverse psychology. Napolean said "never interrupt your enemy when he's making a mistake" and Tone is probably sat thinking exactly that..

Is Danny any good at taking penalties? Ideally in the same tradition as George Berry.

Spoke to an old Wolves supporting friend who will call a spade a spade... even when talking about us.. „Danny is decent at championship level mate... always gives 100%... good for a goal or 2 as well mate... boo boys didn't like him... same now with Adama... if it's not going right they have to boo and blame someone..“ I asked if he was mid table championship or someone’s we could build with... „Danny is decent mate... lot of fans turned on him abit but I liked the bloke ... as you know fans can be abit fickle... but he's played over 200 games for us and scored some good goals ... he's big and he's strong“ Underwhelming after all the Clarke excitement but perhaps could be a useful addition. I’ll wait and see

Didnt nathan say the players were a little low on confidence?
Not sure the signing of bath will give them a boost
I'm only going off what's been said about him so, who knows. The lad could be our saviour 😊😁
