Not keen on Bergerac but Nettles is great in Midsomer Murders. It's just not the same with Neil Dudgeon, he's unlikeable and the writing just isn't as good.Even the assistants aren't as good. Let's enjoy that wonderful Shetland theme, a longer version too I haven't heard the extended version of the theme tune before - thanks ! I know what you mean about Dudgeon and Co. in Midsomer - not a patch on Nettles and his crowd.

There's just something not right about Midsomer Murders now, it's lost the quality it had. I'm still hoping Nettles might return for an odd episode. Tom Barnaby was really likable and you could really feel the camaraderie between the main actors as the series develops(this is very present in Shetland too). John Barnaby strikes me more like an unfriendly tax official and the DS's since Jones left are equally meh characters.

I liked George Bullard as the pathologist as well. The whole lot were well casted, apart from Joyce who I thought was awful and very "wooden" as an actress. This current lot just seem to be going through the motions rather than gelling as a "team".

Really enjoyed this week's Shetland. Pretty dark stuff too and you do wonder how much trafficking is really occurring. Nasty bastards. Douglas Henshall is such a fine actor, mannerisms, facial expressions, just really good.
Plus I keep hoping Julie Graham's lesbian character and the young female DS might embark on a torrid session of rug munching. But that's another story, 😁😁

Decent fourth episode, fine acting all around. You get some spectacular aerial shots in this as well, no doubt courtesy of the drone technology.

Watched the last two episodes, one of the best sets of actors I've ever seen in a TV show. Quality TV, easily as good as anything stateside. Just gutted it will be another year to series 5!
