Easy answer, the club had given away free tickets for the majority of new corner for the Leeds game, as they are also doing for the next three home games.
For today’s game the whole of the new corner was made available for sale, hence why it was 80% empty.

Personally, money unfortunately. You've got to remember they gave a fucking tonne of tickets away in the new corner for Leeds. For whatever reason they didn't today and they've been struggling to sell them all week.
As with everything Stoke, I think the communication is poor. They don't sell the corner seats for ages, but don't advertise when they are on general sale. I assume people just don't bother to look or they wait till little Johnny comes home from school with his free tickets.

I was supposed to be going (STH) but had to go into work and ended up staying later than planned. I was fucking furious about it. Then a couple of hours later I was delighted about it.
First home game I've missed since WHU dicked us 3-0 last season, which I was also later delighted about missing.

We won’t get 15k season ticket holders next season. Think everyone who was picked up on last weeks performance will be right back down. 3-4 years of going backwards and I can’t see any change. Coates is right back where he started position wise. Clueless management from top to bottom.

I was there, as usual. I will be there against Hull also. Unless someone gets me sectioned PLEASE...
I really do feel sorry for Nat Jones, he has got to have one of the worst jobs in English football. He has been left with one of the laziest, unprofessional, uncaring, unworthy, uninspiring and under achieving squads ever assembled in England. Four Managers in a year and we have achieved nothing at all with this bunch of worthless wankers.

Some people, like me, have work commitments that means we can't go every match. I went against Leeds, didn't go today because i had to work.

I'll be back against West Brom so if you haven't got a ticket yet I wouldn't bother. The curse I have over the team shows no sign of disappearing any time soon.

Looking at tickets sold for the West Brom, Villa and Forest games it would appear quite a few Stokies decided to bypass this one and spend their hard earned cash on a midlands derby instead.....

I missed Derby, Millwall and Leeds due to baby scans, haven't seen us win since the Ipswich game at the start of December.
My mates are telling me I'm not welcome anymore due to the curse I bring.

I went today. On the journey home I asked myself was it worth it? And has it been worth it for the last 18 months? I am afraid the answer is no. The Players can't be arsed. So until they show the same effort as they did last week. I can't be arsed either. At my age I am not wasting my time watching that shit. And if it does not improve before May. I won't be renewing. So there maybe 2,501 missing next time. I have watched Stoke since 1963 and this is the most lacklustre, dispassionate and work shy team I have witnessed in that time.

There were a couple of blokes there last week along from me who I am sure were Leeds fans, they hid it quite well, but the stayed sat down when Jonnson was sent off and noticed for Joes goal they just stood up and didn’t clap. There was a few around the ground like this I suspect

The tickets offered through schools are not free, at least not through my children's school. The cost is £20 for adults and £5 for children.

So there maybe 2,501 missing next time. I have watched Stoke since 1963 and this is the most lacklustre, dispassionate and work shy team I have witnessed in that time. Great post and bang on correct, I was saying something similar in the boozer before yesterday's game, I was asked why I have not renewed my season ticket this year,I said I can't be arsed with them, I was then offered a free ticket and turned it down because again I could not be bothered, the group of lads I was with said fuck me Moz you have watched them for years and you have seen worse than this and still gone every week....and here was my answer The reason I can't be arsed is because they haven't been arsed for the last 3 years and still can't be arsed and the owners of the club are taking the piss, I went every week when we were shit and kept coming back for more for one reason and that reason was because the club were skint and could not compete with the bigger teams in the leagues so I knew there was no one to blame, we hoped we could drop on a cheap player who would turn in to a diamond like chamberlain, sheron or steino, players who needed a second chance or had a point to prove, this lot have no excuse, no excuse what so ever, we have just been relegated from one of if not the richest sporting set up in the world with a whimper, we have had a board of directors who knew we were at last chance saloon yet buried their heads in the sand and then went and employed Paul fucking Lambert as our saviour, a board who have sanctioned 3 of our most expensive players/flops ever and who now allow them to be plying their trade away from the team that bought in the flops, they have yet to make accountable the people whos decicion it was to even entertain these transfers, these transfers were not some sort of low cost gamble who we could stick in the reserves if they failed to make the grade, oh no, these were to be our star players and then we have the problem called Saido, we have a team of can't be arsed money merchants that think they should be playing in the premier league but can't cut it even at championship level, we have a back line that would struggle in a lads and dads league and the forwards couldnt hit a cows ass with a banjo, the best player on the pitch against Leeds was a player that was vilified by the supporters last year because half the morons watching him thought he had single handily got us relegated, does it get any lower. Nah I need a break away from them, hopefully my passion will return and I will be a season ticket holder again next year but so far no fire has yet been lit that makes me want to go up there and watch them.
