He’s improved from a verrrry low base starting point.
People think he’s a world beater.

Let’s face it, although he’s worked harder this season (not hard really), he’s fucking crap like about 90% of the squad and needs shipping out pronto if we’re going to rebuild from scratch. That sums it up. It'd be interesting to know what his current wage was after the rumoured 40-50% wage drop clauses. He'll still be virtually impossible to shift as the only clubs interested couldn't get anywhere near what he's on. But if he's now on 35k-a-week, as opposed to 70k-a-week, it does offer a very small chink of light. I would be astounded if there’s anyone who’d take him tbh. A striker that has barely scored since 2015.

The whole team needs ripping up and starting again, seriously!!!
As for Berahino, I'm affraid this is about as good as he'll get, don't think he'll offer much more than what he gives now!!!
I'm not actually sure where his best position lies???
Apart from one good header, the rest of his goals have been scrappy tap in's virtually on the goal line, oh, and a flukey header (i think his first ever goal for us???) that I think he was as surprised as anyone that it went in!!!

Can anyone seriously see Berahino scoring the goal Afobe scored today? He rarely shoots and has zero striker instinct. Absolute dross and we are stuck with him. Yes. Saido has 1.1 Shots per game, Benik has 1.5, not a huge difference. Especially as Saido has been a winger or a 10 for a good amount of games.

After that, I don't think it's overly dramatic to suggest he'll be in the lower leagues....at best!

I don't think he's been a huge success by any means but both front men are starved of service and not really getting the opportunity to show what they're made of. I'm not sure that Afobe and Berahino works as a partnership as I don't think either hold the ball up well enough. All said though they seem incapable of creating for themselves like a Fuller. A good example of a partnership was Fuller and Sidibe as they dovetailed well. Though Mama liked real quality he held up the ball well and was key in our promotion campaign. Oh for a Fuller now.

It doesn’t matter who plays up front at the moment. We’re creating absolutely fuck all. I’m not Saido’s biggest fan (nor Afobe’s), but the problems lie much deeper. We can’t pass the fucking ball for starters.

What was he meant to do today? I really do not understand where some of our fans can spout this shite from. I agree with the above, we have no strikers who are top level players, but fucking hell I think I counted about 3 times the ball actually got near Berahino from our midfield, not sure what people expect. Is it 2.5 years (full pay) since “people expect”

Want to see how we do with a decent defence, that might improve the midfield and give the strikers a chance.

There was a period in the middle of the first half when 3 passes were played to him in about 3 minutes. When the pass was made, he was in from to this man but he never made one of them. He is slow, lacks any anticipation, can’t finish, poor in the air and not particularly strong. Jones’s system needs 2 mobile front men, it’s not for Saido

Was rubbish before we bought him. Insane to wast so much money on him. Since arriving his record speaks for itself. Without wanting to sound judgemental but is he the type of character that NJ is going to feel comfortable with. He seemed to hint that he wanted decent human beings at the club. Does Berahino actually have anything going for him? What a waste!

I think he works hard without any end prodcuct. If we could get rid and get some money back I'd go for that deal now. Working hard should be a given for any player. Frankly the jizz fest about him was ridiculously over the top. He wanted fucking off after his antics We are stuck with this turd

I think he needs a ball playing forward in order to be effective in a front 2 ,best I've seen him play for us is wide left but that's out of the question I suppose.

Hes had his chance. You need to score as a striker. Sheron, Stein, Thorne, Ritchie, Sturridge, Biggins, O'Callaghan. Sure there are more. Not good enough sorry and like Afobe he wasnt cheap

Are you really trying to defend a £12M striker who has scored three league goals in the last four years. As a sign of NJ’s revolution, Berahino needs to be gone from the club this week and replaced by a striker who will cause the opposition some problems and will offer effective support to Afobe.

January 2017 at a cost of £12m on a 5.5 year deal
Position
Striker
League
Played in fifty games under three different managers (not including NJ) and scored three goals.
That’s some return on the monetary and time investment!!!

The top 4 clubs in the championship have strikers on double figures already. Our 2 x strikers are struggling to get double figures between them! Saddo couldn't score in the prem, cant score in the championship, if we don't fuck him off and get a proven goalscorer in we are going to discover if he can score in League 1!

I'd hazard a guess the top 4 clubs have a fully functioning defence and a midfield that can create chances. Berahino came off at half time, yet we still had the unbelievable stat that we only touched the ball once in the opposition penalty area. Which striker is going to put that right?
