Fuck him off, looks like he doesn’t want to be here, and has been woeful, brings nothing to the side

Should never have been signed in the first place.
Completely unbalanced the squad since his first day here.

If we have the opportunity to sell him and Butland this window we should cash in and use the money to fund an entire new defence.
Two players we should get decent money for who we really wouldn’t miss (providing we sign a suitable replacement for Butland).

Next great idea?

It’s no coincidence we’ve become worse and worse from the moment he signed.

This has been by far Joe Allen's worse game in a Stoke shirt.

To add a bit of balance, one bad game.. He’s been poor most the season, we have clucas, woods and etebo for the Balance, and he’s been played as a number 10, he’s wank

He’s been shoehorned into the team inexplicably to the detriment of the rest of the team.
One of the main contributors to our relegation.

Up there with the worst buys of the Hughes era, not because he's a bad player but because he doesn't fit.. he's not defensive, he's not attacking, he's only ever looked good when we've played a system that suits him but none of the other players in the team

He's the common denominator in our seemingly never-ending decline. People only like him because he gets stuck in. His 'quality' on the ball is embarrassing.

It’s no coincidence we’ve become worse and worse from the moment he signed. We also lost some of our best midfielders due to him being shoehorned in. No coincidence we haven’t looked balanced since he signed. To think he’s billed as one of the league’s best midfielders, it’s laughable.

They really have no idea how to create a shooting or goal scoring opportunity. Mr Jones has a nightmare to sort out.

Does he even perform though? He’s not a goalscoring midfielder bar that 6 game weird spell He can’t pass He can’t tackle His touch is abysmal He’s not quick He lacks positional discipline He’s somehow fooled people into thinking he’s a good player because he’s got “pashun” and runs around like a tit in a trance, he literally can’t do anything to some form of acceptable level. The fact we rewarded failure by giving him a new contract is hilarious, and many commented that it was a sign of his character that he stayed with us, that’s since proven to be bollocks, he’s stayed here because he’s not even good enough for the Championship. Can’t wait for him to be sold.

Disagree with this. Allen has been the only player who has provided any kind of consistent effort and has shown bits of quality. Against Villa he was superb.

Fuck me what am I reading, he's been shit today but this squad has bigger problems than Joe Allen. Agreed but doing lots of running around doesn't mean he's doing anything useful. He is one I would have sold at start of season. Not sure why but he just seems to unbalance the side.

Allen has been one of our best players this season imo. He has been one of the few who hasn't stopped running, never given up - unlike most of his teammates.

We’re a football club sadly, not an athletics club. That’s the issue. He’s fucked up so many passes today, gone into tackles and lost the ball on almost every occasion. He’s full of stamina and heart but it’s for nothing if he can’t play the game.

Joe Allen is like a slice of bread.
Nothing wrong with a slice of bread per say. It can be useful if it's on a plate with a roast dinner and gravy. Or it can turn a plate of chips into a tasty chip sandwich.
But when the slice of bread is the best thing on your plate, you're not going to get many awards for your culinary skills. Your diners might even question why you are building your entire meal around a slice of bread. Time for a rethink.

He's far from our biggest problem, obviously.
But, equally obviously, he'll have zero interest in staying here beyond this season. And he'll be getting more and more dispondent
And we've got bob hope of going up.
So if we did get a reasonable offer in this month, it would make sense to let him go and let Jones re-invest the money.
Same goes for Butland
