Do you think we will go with 2 or 3 keepers?
If Tone decides we need 3 keepers, I suppose this guy could be coming as back up although I don't know how good he is. I am still really hoping that we sign Fulop mind.

Austin Ejide (born 8 April 1984 in Onitsha, Nigeria) as Augustine Amamchukwu Ejide in Onitsha, Nigeria) is a Nigerian Goalkeeper. His name, Amamchukwu, means "Do I know God´s wish?".[1]
He has played for a few clubs, including Gabros International and SC Bastia in Corsica, which is competing in the Ligue 2 of the French Football League.
He plays for the Nigeria national football team and was a participant at the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
He is very famous for being highly rated in FIFA 07 game in which he is one of the best goalkeepers.
Ejide has caused occasional problems for his own defenders at both club and international level due to his attacking style in goal.
The Nigeria youngster has been caught out of position in recent friendlies by bounding out of position too readily.
He is still young though and will grow in stature from the experience of playing along with Ike Shorunmu, Nigeria's goalkeeping veteran.
Whether he features this summer remains to be seen.

Doesn't sound like a TP signing, he normally likes strikers who are good in goal rather than attacking keepers! He sounds like Pele in the teamtalk in Escape to Victory though.... "You give me the ball, I do this, this, this - goal!!" Get him signed up Edit, found the scene!!

Once linked with Arsenal, maybe he is a good prospect?
Gunners Target Ejide Lagos - December 5, 2005 Etoile Sahel goalkeeper Austin Ejide is a target for English Premiership side Arsenal, according to nigeriansportsonline.com.
According to the website, several clubs are interested in Nigerian Ejide, who was one of Etoile’s stars as they marched all the way to the final of the 2005 MTN Caf Champions League.
“Several clubs have shown interest in Ejide, including Arsenal, for a move in January,” the website quoted their source as saying.
Ejide’s contract at Etoile runs out in June 2006, and the Tunisian club are reportedly keen to cash in on their star ‘keeper before then. Ejide is also the reserve goalkeeper for the Nigerian national team.

I always had Tone down as an ISS man myself. Maybe young Ant plays FIFA when the rest of the squad are actually playing football.

And why do we always want people who were "once linked with" clubs? If Arsenal didnt follow up interest in 2005, doesnt that say something?
Lets face it, the big clubs shit out players that have tried and failed, why are we going / being linked with players who didnt even get as far as being taken on?

Is it just me that doesn't trust African keepers? Some of them can be a bit dodgy but some have really impressed me watching world cups and ACONs, such as Kameni from Cameroon, Barry from Ivory Coast and El Hodari from Egypt.

The African nations cup has some of the worst keepers I've seen. You see better on a sunday morning.

A quick scan of their forum shows that their fans don't exactly view the prospect of losing him with any dread.
They don't seem to rate him particularly highly.
It'd be a massive shock if Pulis gambled on him.

In that scene from 'Escape to Victory', Pele say 'Hatch gives me the ball......' Without sounding like a nerd- Hatch was the trainer at the time Wasn't until later when Michael Caine broke the keepers arm they replaced him with Hatch ;D Think I've watched that too much Jamo Was shocked Russel Osman was overlooked for an Oscar

According to the end bit of this article in the Corsican press, their chairman seems to be expecting an offer from Stoke for this Nigerian bloke. We also await a proposal from the English club of Stoke City on the subject of Austin Ejide, explains Pierre-Paul Antonetti
