You could ask why 8 managers have seen fit to sell or not renew their interest in Tom Ince after various loan spells. If you don’t get a regular run of games ( and I think he’s had 6 games where he has come on as sub after 80 minutes) it is hard to impress. Let’s face it , Hughes removed him from the team a couple of games after the away leg at Liverpool (where he set up Arnie’s goal) and we have been on a downward spiral ever since. Lambert had to stem the flow of goals and obviously favoured Shaq as the creative player, while Rowett clearly wants workers not flair. Every team in the top 6 has at least 1 flair player, several have 2 or more. We have Ince who has the same issues as Bojan ( doesn’t tackle or defend and is sometimes easily knocked off the ball) but they are the only 2 who have anything “different “ in their respective lockers. Lambert didn’t favoured Shaq. BOJAN WASN’T AT THE CLUB!

Not even gonna bother debunking the injury, it’s be done by virtually every other poster about 300 times in the last 2 years. We need to get it in bold at the top of the message board and be done with two things : 1. Stats show that Bojan has NOT been worse since the injury 2. We do NOT have a sell on clause for Arnie Or nzonzi - or begovic

Bojan represents what we once had but what we now no longer have.
He's the only remaining stand out player from that glorious period we knew under Hughes, as Stokelona.
If since that period, new players had come in and we'd gone on to better and bigger things, then Bojan would have been long forgotten by now but that didn't happen, the opposite did in fact and that is why he is cherished so much, he's that last chink of light, dimmly flicking in our memories of what we once had.
But actually, the REAL reason he's still loved ... is because his chant is dead fookin' easy to sing! 😜

We really should move on from this.It- isnt helping anyone at all if the manager thinks he is not up to the job we must accept this:I wish we would just sell him and get it over and done with. Our sentimental attachment to him must end there is no room in this business for it.

Doesn't really illustrate that he felt he needed him does it?

The problem at the moment is we don't actually know, it would surely be a shame to install a new manager and sell a player like Bojan before the new guy has had a chance to assess him? To sell him right now would be sheer lunacy.

I use to love bojan, he’s a player who plays the way we all love to see. But he’s done nothing but sit on a bench for 3years. Yes he’s come on as sub now and then but done nothing for me ( apart from Rotherham). That injury has certainly taken its toll, I wish we’d all get over him😢 Fragile and finished, he has enough dough to live pretty well regardless. So no sympathy here.

This is only conjecture but I always thought that Bojan and Shaq never saw eye to eye and can only guess that their ethnic backgrounds may have caused issues that led to a fallout that was unrepairable.

Arnautovic is of Serbian ancestry, it seems unlikely he'd fall out with one and not the other over an issue like that.

True but I can never remember Arnie getting into trouble with FIFA over ethnic actions, not everyone holds the same grudges or ideals.

If we are to see the best of Bojan, the so called striker's have got to lose their markers and make runs. Bojan is the player to take advantage of those opportunities.
If they continue to remain static, as per normal, then there is little hope.

Either way, it’s irrelevant now.

Whilst I loved seeing him play a few seasons ago, there is something a miss. Hughes, Lambert Rowshat and where he went to on loan didn't play him????

If people are using the word attitude in the perjorative sense then I think they are wrong. But Bojan has certainly had confidence issues since he was injured at Rochdale. I don't think he has been helped much in overcoming those confidence issues by successive managers. As others have pointed out he has had spells since his injury when he has played well and scored but that has rarely led to a run of games sufficient to get him back to full match fitness - mentally or physically. From what I have seen and heard from Jones, you would expect (or certainly hope) that if anyone can nurse him back to something approaching his best it would be him. You'd also hope that a Spanish coach would also be a big plus in attempts to revive what once looked like being a stellar career. If Jones and his team put the effort in with Bojan there has to be a decent chance that it will pay off. Even if he never gets back to the player he looked like becoming, if he can get back to 80% or 90% of that level, then he could well be the creative spark to get him and us back in the the Premier League. Fingers crossed! Edit, if I were Bojan I would be feeling happier about my future prospects than I have done for years. Some sense posted at last, we can always rely on you John. If the new manager can nurture the talent, and the man himself can regain his confidence it will be a major boost for Stoke City, if not, then it will be a sad farewell

I'm still confident that we will be seeing a lot of our Spanish genius.
