Mind you, if it's a loan as reported, it's hard to see what's in it for us People will now know how desperate we are to get rid of players. Had he made more appearances before now, and not necessarily every game, it would be a different ball game. 'Bomb squad' players generally go on loan or for free. Once the player gets a sniff of it, it's game over.

Bauer and Rowett were close to coming to blows after a heated argument after a game earlier in the season.
The stubborn prick didn't play him again after that.

We are hardly brimming with talent. It seems crazy to me for a club in our position to let talented players leave; we need to be making them better players.
Surely it is far more important to get rid of the dead wood (Fletcher, Adam, Afellay, Diouf, Imbula) and bring in some fresh young talent.
If and when the new coaches have had a good look at Bauer and Bojan, ideally giving them a game against Shrewsbury, and they decide they have no role to play, then sell in the summer.
It's not as though we need the money.

For the record I like Bauer.
But why don’t we ever stand firm? Tell Wolves you’re buying him or you can fuck off, a loan just means he’s still on the wage bill at the end of the season and is more dead weight to shift.

So Rowett leaves and then both Bauer & Bojan are on their way out of the club as well?
Just WHAT THE FOOK Stoke?

Why would they want him? As back up? Matt Doherty has been one of their best players this season.

Bauer not good enough for Rowett but good enough to play for Wolves in the top division? I know who's judgement I'd trust. Big money transfer or keep him!

He'd be getting the same amount of game time as he would here (possibly less if Jones intends to integrate him back into the matchday squad) and the same pay. And he'd return in June anyway.

Yeah - it doesn't seem to make any sense for either Bauer or Stoke. But the fact it's still being mooted this morning does hint that it's not being immediately ruled out after the initial discussion, which is interesting.

Is it simply being mooted on the Dingles side or is it being reciprocated. The only winner in this is Wolves. They get quality back up for nothing (bar wages). We lose a quality player for no money to replace him and Bauer simply swaps one bench for another.

And the Express and Star claim to have confirmed the interest this morning. So you've got to think it's maybe gone beyond an initial query (although who knows?) The Austrian press were mentioning Premier League offers last week too.

But a loan makes no sense at all for SCFC. Unless of course he really is such a bad egg that they want him gone at any price. But if that's the case why was he on the bench on Saturday. I don't know it's SCFC so none of it makes any bloody sense.

Maybe he just wants out now. And who could blame him really...

With how bad Edwards and Martina are looking at Right-Back we would be crazy to let Bauer go on loan now.

Even though Jones' new broom might offer some hope he could conceivably partly blame Laurel and Hardy for his situation as they must have been responsible for him signing his new contract in June with all the promises that would have entailed and who are still here stinking the place out even though Rowett's gone.

Yep exactly they had him down as poster boy for this season then Rowett comes along and he's training with the U21s...they've really messed this one up.

I have a horrible feeling Rowett has done irreparable damage to some of our players.
I’m at the point now, where I’d get rid of everyone and start again.
