Don't remember the date or team on my first Stoke home game but it was 1958 and been crying ( for joy or despair) ever since.
First visit to the ground was 1955 when the Queen did a tour of the pitch and schools were invited.
Being a Stoke supporter has always been the same but that is the nature of football. Best period for me was the Waddington years.

I honestly cannot remember my first home game. Around 87/88. First away Wolves 0-0, Statham missed a pen... 88/89 maybe?
I donβt get that emotional about football, never punched a wall or cried.

Donβt remember my first home game, although my dad took me to quite a few reserves games when I was about five or six (do these count?). I probably went to my first senior home game in about 1967. My first away game, and the only one until 1993 at Notts County, was Blackpool in 1971.

Wall punched about Stoke? - never punched a wall but kicked a few cats... Tear cried about Stoke? - when Steino left - no tears since - nothing could compare to that pain!

First game - Bristol rovers at home canβt remember the year
First away - Crewe, again canβt remember the year.
Walls punched - 0, however I did fall out with my misses, my sister and my mum after a 1-0 defeat to Sunderland. A copper pushed me over that day it snowed and I genuinely didnβt do anything wrong. There was a few of them they just started asking me questions and telling me to walk away when I said leave it out sort of thing. One pushed me in the back and it was snowing of course I fell straight on my face fucking prick Iβll never forget his face.
First cry - I sat in a box at the top of the John smiths and after the game had ended I went and was just sat looking at the ground and I was looking at the places Iβd sat and remembering the game and who I was at the game with. Some of those not here now so it was quite a moment.

First home game would have been a Central League midweek fixture around 1965 with a first team game a couple of years later.
First away game Derby around 1974 on an absolute wreck of a train then trouble kicking off all over the place on the way too and from the ground, ah the good old days.

My first away day was against Preston in the Durban promotion season of 78/79. Went with my sisterβs husband in his car. No Sat Nav, and had no idea where the ground was.
We were already running late as thereβd been a hold up on the M6 - I remember reading afterwards that the Preston manager Nobby Stiles had only turned up at the last minute. It was 3pm when we got into Preston and parked up. We then asked various locals where the ground was and each time they basically sent us in a different direction. We got into the ground 5 minutes before the end of the match, but at least weβd won.
A subsequent return to the Preston ground a number of years later found the locals equally unable to accurately tell us where their own ground was. This time though weβd set off early enough not to get caught out. The people of Preston are either the biggest pisstakers around or just thick as pig shit.

My first home game was Coventry in April 1973, first away Mansfield in the Stein days, circa 1993 ?! Never punched a wall but threw my scarf away after Blyth Spartans Cried in desperation when we signed Keith Scott

Stoke 0 Watford 4 - Blissett and Barnes absolutely ran rings around us -1983
Blackburn 0 Stoke 1 (Saunders) - 1985-86 season - my first true mental at a Stoke match!
Never punched a wall but kicked a cone once after we lost at home to Blackpool in 1992, the promotion year!!
Never cried over a football game. Really? If you do you have nothing to worry about and your life is amazing.

I can't remember my first home game, I was only 2 at the time. It would have been early in the 1961/62 season. My little sister used to spend every other 3 months in Biddulph Grange Hospital at a time when visitors under 16 were not allowed, so I wasn't allowed to visit her. On Saturday afternoons, my Mum used to visit my sister and my Dad used to take me to Stoke. My first away game was a 4-3 win at Wolves in 1967. We were 5 minutes late getting into the ground because of the queues outside the ground. We heard a roar for the kick-off and 2 further roars for obvious goals, so we were expecting the worst when we walked onto the terrace only to find that we were 2-0 up. The match was settled when Alan Bloor scored on a breakaway! I still have no idea what he was doing there! It has basically been downhill all the way since then! I probably first punched a wall (kicked a cat and a few other things) when Peter Storey scored the last minute penalty equaliser at Hillsborough in the 1971 semi-final. The first tears would have been the sale of John Ritchie to Sheffield Wednesday. I was devastated!

The Unforgettable Stoke 5 Arsenal 0 70/71 ( I was 9 ) Never one for the away games until older but one of the first was 86/87 when we beat Hull 4-0
Only punched a wall once over a past girlfriend and immediately regretted it ....
Never cried at a game

My first game, ever was September 1963 at home against Notts Forest.I was 10 and don't remember much apart from seeing Stan Matthews and that we lost.
My first game when I started to go regularly was September 1968 at home to Blackburn Rovers in the League Cup. We lost
My first away game was in August 1969 at Derby County. We drew.
I learned that disappointment came early, as a Stoke fan so there's been no wall thumping from me; just a realisation that my expectations were, perhaps, a little to high!
The Wembley semi final against Bolton did bring a tear to my eye.... But then see above for the final.

I think it was in 1977. We lost 3-0 to Wolves. I think.
My Step-Dad took me and after about 20 minutes of hearing Stoke fans shouting abuse it dawned on me that they were actually shouting at the Stoke team, which came as a shock to me who was 9 at the time. I turned to my step-dad and asked him why the Stoke fans were booing their own players and he looked down at me and said ''cause they are bloody crap!"
Needless to say I couldn't wait to go back - I think we beat Hull.

First Home game was 1978 v Blackburn. we won 4-2 with a Crooks hat trick. I was 9 and can only remember being surrounded by people on the Boothen end. First away game was 1978 v Preston. we won 1-0 with Howard kendall getting the winner. My everlasting memory, apart from the goal, was the Stoke and Preston fans chasing each other from one side to the other in the Home end.

Late sixties I think against West ham- Got lost and dad had to walk around the pitch and up the tunnel to get me- I was going to get a good-hiding but he met all the players in the tunnel and shook their hands (half-time)- So thankfully by the time I saw him he was all smiles- Away- 78-79 season? Like someone else said-hit a wall over a girl-it bloody hurts! Also as stated already-seem to cry out loud in despair these days-(Anyone who listened to me would think were called "FFS STOKE"!)

Hull v Stoke 6th round of the FA Cup which Stoke won 3-2 from 2-0 down. No tears but much fervour and my personal greatest away day. One of the best awaydays of all time. Certainly in my top 7 or 8. The goals are Youtubeable (Keith Macklin commentating I suspect) and are on more than one thread on here. I would have been 13 and got a bit of a thick ear from some urchins at Hull Paragon Station after the game, who took exception to the fact that I was swanning around in colours. The team was on our train on the return trip and signed programmes etc. Can you imagine that today? As for crying - I definitely had a bit of grit in my eye at the humiliating 0-2 defeat to Walsall in the FA Cup - 1966 I think. I don't think I cried after the FAC semi final draw versus Arsenal at Hillsborough in 1971. But it did lead to a lifetime of alcohol dependency and expensive counselling. And of course the need to retire to a darkened, padded room whenever anyone mentions Peter Storey.

Home - Blythe Spartans (and I came back for more) Away - Huddersfield (Marβ87 - drew 2-2) Punched a wall - never Cried - beating Peterborough to get to Wembley (too much Pedigree was an influencing factor).
