Still think his penalty save against West Ham was his best save, better than the one they always show against Brazil. Geoff Hurst fair twatted it and Banks dived too far to his right but still managed to twist and punch the ball away - he must have seen it coming at him in slow motion. Incredible save. Must be one of the greatest moments in the club’s history given what it led to.
Happy Birthday to The Greatest.

Absolute legend, not just for Stoke, not just for England, but for world football. And he's a Stokie.
Happy birthday to one of the nicest, most humble people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. And many more!

Many and I mean Many Happy Returns to the great man!
Best saves for me was the world class save in 1970 against Pele. The second for me was the penalty that Geoff Hurst took in the second leg semi final in Dec 1971. So emotional both of them were.

Stood at the opposite end staring through the goal net that night at Upton Park. Outstanding night, only eclipsed two ties later at Old Trafford. That pic of Gordon celebrating in the mud at the end of the game was iconic.

Not as many spectacular diving saves, like the type Pickford and other modern keepers make. It’s all about positioning and just that short montage there shows how saves are being made by getting the positioning right. Pity they chose not to knight him....fingers crossed for next time.

Happy Birthday Gordon. The one player who was world class in his time at Stoke in my lifetime. The look on his face as he celebrated at the end of 2nd semi final replay against West Ham at Old Trafford was a moment to treasure

Knighthoods are two-a-penny nowadays benji. Every man in that 1966 team should have received one. Really can’t understand why it hasn’t happened. They’re all still revered.

Not lucky enough to have seen the greatest keeper of all time play, I wish I had. It's an absolute disgrace he hasn't been knighted, happy birthday to a footballing and British hero Sir Gordon Banks.

One hundred percent pride at what has been achieved, no thought for money or fame but pride in the shirt and knowing that the fans love him for being the best. Kids should look at this today before they pick a ball up.
