Sad news. Sure I recall her being on the pitch as guest at the Madejski Stadium some years back when we played Reading one time. Last game of the season I think, or thereabouts. Not sure why she was there though.

I used to like her in Terry and June (awful "comedy") in the dim and distant past, but she did many other shows and films.
Ripe old age of 93.
RIP June

There's always a 'celeb' death in that no mans land between Christmas and New Year, I was only thinking earlier today we haven't had this years yet.

Crikey, I only just saw her in a Carry On film I watched a couple of days ago. She was in all sorts of TV and radio from the late 40s onwards. She worked with everybody. An amazing career.
RIP Dame June.

RIP June She was a gem in Terry and June and made the thing bearable. Her AbFab stuff was a revelation but then again she always had that twinkle in her eye.
Comic timing?
RIP

Not sure why she was there though. She was a Reading fan, I remember all the stokies singing "time to go...". if my memory is correct she was presenting a charity cheque, there were over 3000 stoke supporters in the away end and most of us sung 'who the f###ing hell are you' so loud that she gave up she just could not be heard. I remember walking up to the ground with a reading supporter who was trying to convince me the noise inside the ground was from the home fans until we got to the away end, he could not believe the noise us stoke supporters were making June Whitfield RIP
