If that had been a date I'd have asked for my money back, zero penetration at home yet again (sorry, it's Christmas ). We were better second half but that didn't take much doing - it really should have been possible to outthink that Millwall side tactically and we came nowhere near. Also, sad to say, Ryan S was so far off it he really worried me for long stretches of the game But of course I'll take 3 lucky points, top half and within striking distance of the play-offs. We all keep saying, now see when we actually start playing well - but this was one of the days I did honestly doubt Gary. Not his committment and the way he's got us working as a squad, just whether he's got that extra quality to get us where we need to go. Love to be wrong, as ever (hopefully Boxing Day will convince me I am...) 6* from me add * if you were there please

Good win but diabolical football. We had 8 shots to their 9 and both had 2 on target.
After last week's very encouraging display at Villa it's an all too familiar feeling this week.
Come on Gary, there's more to it than this.

7, he needs to find a set up that works against teams that do nothing but sit back, other than that not a lot to complain about.

3 - didn't pick top striker. Usual chaos at the end speaks of poor mental preparation. Only pure luck stopped this being 1-1 against one of the worst teams in the league

7* Persisted with Berahino when I probably would have made a change. Another battling and utilitarian performance if not a pulsating one. It’s the kind of result you have to grind out to get anywhere in this league.

Just a suggestion but what about if we tried passing the ball forwards occasionally maybe even to the striker?

He’s says teams defend deep against us but seems incapable of formulating a game plan to counter this.
That’s his job.
Given the bore fest and how quiet it was first 45, I’m surprised I didn’t catch up on some badly needed sleep

I want to believe in Rowett, but the last two home performances have been so shit, I’m finding it impossible.
I can’t be arsed to say anything else, it was that bad.

Absolute carbon copy of Ipswich from beginning to end.
A win is a win though, albeit again one of which we should reasonably "expect" against another team who look totally resigned to relegation.
- 451 (yes I know GR will say it's 433, but it really isnt) at home is abysmal.
- 1 up front @ Home again. We never look like scoring, it's a real surprise when one goes in.
- Defending corners, EVERYBODY BACK!!!
- Tempo. No coincidence yet again that we have a good 5 minute spell where our intensity is high (Clucas for 5 minutes actually grabbed the game and drove us forward from midfield) and we score.
- Thinking positive. We are a team shit scared of losing and everything we do is cautious. Play the ball through the lines and get midfielders running beyond Saido and we can stretch the game. Instead it's sideways and laboured.
Really hate to be so negative but our last 2 home games have been horrific to watch yet we have 6 points?
"A bit like kissing you sister" :/

7* I'll take the same results and performances for the next 23 games BUT only if we get the same results. Winning ugly against teams that want to park the bus is fine by me I'll worry about the style once we've secured promotion. Gouranga.

You onna telling me that there isn’t a better way to approach these games where the opposition come to defend. We got lucky at the end, they should’ve equalised

6* first time been to stoke since we played Chelsea in league cup ,my assessment too many square passes ,woods for al his break up play ,there’s oppunitities to fire forward ,a bit like shawcross did 2nd half that was the most pennertrative play we did bar the goal Im surprised at the atmosphere niw very quiet the Delilah’s r no where as loud back then, we certainly got the numbers very subdued, when Millwall were pressing supporters resigned to us cocking it up The division is there fir the taking keep winning some how n u never know

Poor first half, but they sat back deep with strong defenders.
Ground out the win with a good goal.
4 points taken off for bringing on Crouch and switching to 442, completely ruined our shape, we couldn't keep the ball for shit and hence spent the next 10 minutes defending on the six yard line.
Yet some people still call for 2 up front.

A win is a win but feel that we should be doing a lot better.

5 At least we won with just 2 shots on target. The starting line-up is now set in stone baring injury or suspension. The quality of football is unlikely to improve. 'Gary Rowett your football is shit......Derby fans are right aren't they?
