Can I just say this.... as usually a voice of reason.... yes what went on was unacceptable but those Vale fans giving it portions on Twitter about what went on.... Anyone fancy debating the idea that Vale fans WOULDN'T have trashed the Brit/bet365 had it been at our place? Didn't think so.... Last time they came the Brit they did exactly the same. And caused damage to the buses that we put on for them. I’m not saying last night was acceptable in any way but let’s not make out vale are saints. Karma is a bitch.... I've not seen anyone claim Vale are saints or say that they wouldn't do the same thing to our ground given the opportunity. This isn't the point though and doesn't condone our behaviour in any way. We were the main aggressors last night and were responsible for the biggest problems there's no doubt about it and as a club we're rightly getting the heat for it. It would actually be more understandable if Vale did it because they're the smaller club and are bitter about our years in the Premier League so I could understand them trying to show us they still exist. Small man syndrome. But we're the much bigger club and don't need to be so childish. We can show them how much bigger we are just by turning up with a huge following and creating a great atmosphere and give them the big club experience. Show them what they can never replicate apart from once in a blue moon if they ever get back into the same league as us again and get to take a big following to us. That'll hurt them more than handing them the moral high ground by smashing up their away end. It's just so cowardly. Smashing up inanimate objects, throwing flares and giving it the big un behind a huge line of coppers isn't hard. Anyone could do that. Whilst still stupid I'd have a bit more respect for people who wanted to take the fight direct to Vale and have a fight with willing Vale fans in Burslem. Man v man, chance of getting hurt, the people know the risks and what they're getting themselves into. Not smashing up toilet cisterns and throwing the seats around safe in the knowledge that there's no CCTV in there to get them in trouble. And of course the biggest irony of it. We'll almost certainly end up paying for the clean up and repairs.

There are a minority associated with every club that can act like cunts.

The majority on here berating stoke fans will have never been a potteries derby before. Years ago pubs like Yates were bouncing all day and night, the French horn was rocking etc and absolute carnage was caused everywhere. Last night was well policed and apart from a few broken seats and toilets nothing really happened

But was there actually much fisticuffs or running battles? I've not read anything, old bill had it boxed off in that respect.

Virtually none, huge part was the fact stoke were baying for blood and to be fair to the vale lads they realised that if they wanted it they would have been slaughtered. Nothing like walking up Waterloo road years back or Newcastle street. Imagine the knicker setters of today? Jesus Christ

I don't think we should compare those incidents with 'back in my day the pub was smashed up and set on fire' or 'other clubs are bad too'
It's the stoke minority that did it last night. And we shouldn't just accept it as par course, have some ambition and call them out
